On the way from Basilicata to Milan, we decided to have a 1 night stopover in Orvieto, so the next day we would easily arrive in Milan; it's a long drive, but definitely doable, including stop overs in between to taste some wine to bring back home. I mean you're in Orvieto after all. Again the search started, and knowing...

Nice hotel, quiet but near main sights. Our room had a slanted ceiling which was a problem, but they offered to move us right away. Breakfast was good, but slow service. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

I enjoyed my 2 nights stay in this hotel. Excellent location, quiet room, good breakfast, very clean, pleasant staff. I didn't like my shower, I think they put me in a handicapped room, not sure if all showers are the same in there. There is no good seal at the shower door and water overflows onto the bathroom floor. Good...

We were promptly and warmly greeted by Jude who token impeccable care of us, providing excellent suggestions and guidance. I felt like I was in a home. The room was very clean and comfortable however next time I stay in will ask for a higher floor. There was a little street noise early in the morning. The hotel staff was...

Orvieto is a beautiful city and I believe much overlooked. The hotel Piccolomini is a reflection of the city it is located in. Deceptively small on the outside but going deep into the rock it is built on and in. It is bang in the middle of the main part of town with beautiful walks to be had all around...

This hotel really tries hard and gets most things right. Service very good, decorating both beautiful and interesting. It's in a very old building so plumbing is challenging....plenty of hot water but strange noises when toilet flushing. Fancy bath products are much appreciated along w decent bedding and towels. The breakfast, however, only average. Lots of pre packaged products which...

this is a simple, well run small hotel perfectly converted from an old house, keeping the ambience of the past with all the necessary amenities in. breakfast is rich, car parking available but you need to fetch the valet first. 100 meters to town centre, 500 meters to cathedral and 20 steps to the road surrounding the town which faces...

Very special hotel in the middle of the old town of orvieto. Long halls, large guest room withhigh ceilings. Historic building very decently remodelled in style. It is hard to find a parking lot in the old town.

Visited Orvieto for one night and it is a place not to be missed! The funicular (mountain train) will transcend you from the train station into Orvieto where you can then easily take a bus into the town centre. Our bus stopped in the piazza della Repubblica, where you basically round the corner walk 2 minutes and you are at...

This hotel is located in a quiet small plaza within two minutes walking distance of the main square. Hotel offers parking for guests coming into town by car. The room we had was on the top floor, very well appointed and extremely quiet. Hotel staff was incredible with directions, reservations and recommendation of sights. We cannot wait to return to...
