The rooms are very, very spacious. The cleanliness was not very good but it was all right. The amenities are ok, the location is perfect - at a quiet street but right nexto to the old town's center full of landmarks, shops, restaurants, bars.

The hotel entrance is an inconspicuous door in an alley deep in the old town - finding it was a challenge. The reception was friendly and boisterous. Our room was one half of the original dining room overlooking a narrow street. It was quiet but only a short distance from the restaurants and shops.

Yes it is an old converted palazzo with a certain amount of charm. It is difficult to find and in the middle of a restricted access zone that you need a permit to drive/park in. Once you find the place they will give you a permit for your stay. The real problem is in the lack of service(s). The room... More

Residenza d'epoca Puccini very well located in the center of the city, not far from the train station and hosted in a beautiful building. Rooms are clean and comfortable. This was well and truly a very unique hotel experience. Pistoia is a small Tuscan town off the beaten tourist track and we stayed here because we were visiting family friends. Hard to find, down a very narrow pedestrian alley, an old place like a museum or church at some time, a rabbit warren inside, no carpet anywhere, concrete stairs and floors everywhere, we got dirty feet walking around in our room, floor needs washing and moping each day. I am perplexed that people A. refer to this as a simple B&B - though I suppose strictly technically it is as it doesn't have a restaurant, but really the Puccini's sense of grandeur and luxury lift it way above the B&B market .... and doubly perplexed that a previous reviewer referred to it as 'very small' .... as it... I normally don't like B&Bs, but this one is really good. Signora Chiara (the manager) is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are big, clean and decorated with frescoes, and the place is a 2 min ealk away from the central duomo square. This is a very small B&B type hotel located in Pistoia, Italy which only has about 10 rooms, but don't let the small size fool you into thinking its not a fantastic place to stay. I found the hotel excellent, the reception at our sign-in was easy, and informative. (we were given a number of restaurants to choose from. which was very helpful) The rooms were very comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. The only one problem we had, was finding the hotel.
