The hotel is not too far from the city however as others have said, there are PLENTY of stairs. Unfortunately Google maps does not really give this away... :) The walk is not horrible but when it is 30+ degrees and very humid, walking up and down those stairs is not fun. The rooms are okay, nothing special and a...

The best thing about this hotel is the great views from its rooms, and the rooms are relatively large. The worst thing is that it's vertically far from the city-center. Walking up to it from the city-center is, for most of us, out of question in the summer heat. Getting a taxi, though, takes quite a bit of planning: you...

The manager and staff are incredibly helpful! I had a big mishap with my credit card that led to my reservation being cancelled (and since I was traveling I missed the emails about it), and the staff was absolutely outstanding at taking care of me and getting me rebooked. They will take great care of you!

The family run hotel is lovely. Good location as in easy walk into main part of Positano and a bus stop right outside if you want to take the internal bus back in the evening. Hosts are very helpful and pleasant. Onsite parking for a fee. Beds are very comfortable, views amazing, spotlessly clean and nice breakfast. Highly recommended. We...

This was a nice hotel, simple, large rooms with great views. Nothing fancy. Good breakfast, nice helpful staff. Quiet area up from town, and many nice restaurants within walking distance. Close to bus stop.

This hotel is in the perfect location. It's close to everything in Positano, including the beach and many restaurants and shops. You can walk comfortable to most places within the town, and if you don't want to walk they have buses or scooters for rent near by. The staff is also so friendly snd will do anything to make your...

I stayed at Il Gabbiano with two friends for a four day getaway. The hotel was fantastic - it has a small, family-run vibe and all of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed and the view from our room was fantastic. The breakfast was very simple, however overall I would...

We stayed here in May and where a little worried as we had seen some of the bad reviews but we booked quite last minute so had limited choice but we where pleasantly surprised and think the bad reviews are very harsh, the staff where friendly and helpful, it was a great location, clean comfortable room, great little outside area...

We went for a short break over the weekend and this hotel did not disappoint. Some key pluses for your stay, the view, parking (which is hard to come by), the room size, the location to everything, the breakfast and the service. There is a lift available as the hotel is over a few floors. The view from everywhere is...
