Stayed here for a few days early this month - we found it absolutely charming. If you like accommodation with room service, huge televisions, overwhelming air freshener etc etc then please stay away as this place is as far removed from that as you can imagine. It is very quiet and serene, there are not many rooms so that means...

We stayed here for a week and it was great. For a typical tuscan experience this is the best option. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Rooms are large and clean, but no TV. Breakfast was basic but ok. It would be nice to have some vegetables as well. The view from the terrace was wonderful, just the right place...

Real lovely place. 100% Tuscan impressions, a need to stay if you want to timetravel. Friendly, familiar hosting, Authentic Tuscan style. Do not compare to a 5* hotel, it is a villa from 15th century, but you sure will find yourself, while relaxing.

We stayed here this week for three nights and enjoyed every single minute!!!....Alessandro welcomed us upon arrival and his English was good enough to understand exactly the information we required ...ie where to eat, parking in Prato and Train times etc to Florence, he knew every answer. It is a Magnificent place, more like a Palace in a beautiful setting...

An unbelievable country villa - not 4 seasons luxury but amazing old world charm and elegance. This is our fourth or fifth trip and every one has been great. The drive from Prato is short but not for the feint of heart. The two nearby restaurants are worth the trip with great food and lots of locals. If you like...

I was looking for a place to stay that wasn't a very long drive from the Florence airport and happened upon Villa Rucellai in a fairly obscure little travel book. I stayed two nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. It felt a world away from the big city that was just a few kilometres away. Everything about...

I loved every moment we stayed at the Villa. It is old worldly and grand. How could it not be when it was built at the end of the 1400's? To sit in the reading room surrounded by fabulous paintings and soak up the atmosphere sipping their home made wine was the pleasure of the trip. Our room was so...
