Villa Piedimonte receives accolades for its cleanliness and prime location near Ravello Square, with many guests enjoying the scenic and spacious rooms. The tidy pool and dining areas also earn praise. However, opinions on the atmosphere and value are mixed; the rooms' lack of local character and perceived discrepancies in value for money leave some guests underwhelmed.
While the amenities, including the pool and shuttle service, are appreciated, the dining options and room furnishings have room for improvement. Service is generally good, yet a few travelers have encountered inconsistency.

Staying at Villa Piedimonte was the highlight of our trip to the Amalfi Coast! Ravello is a beautiful town with gorgeous views of the Amalfi coast as it is further up the hill. Villa Piedimonte is perfectly located with breath taking views from every part of the hotel. I I was blown away by the spectacular views that welcome you when you drive into the hotel's driveway. We had booked a Junior Suite but got upgraded to a Comfort Suite upon arrival due to our Hotels.com status. We were celebrating an anniversary and were also surprised with 2 glasses of prosecco and some sweets in the room upon arrival. The Comfort suite was very modern and classy, with a jetted bath tub and spectacular views from a huge terrace! Massimo and the rest of the team were super nice and helpful at all times and all requests were immediately addressed. We visited during covid times and were very impressed by all the measures in place including face masks and hand sanitisers provided in the rooms and remote controls, etc. placed in clear ziploc bags. The breakfast in the morning had a variety of hot and cold foods, very well served taking safety measures into account. We ate in Ravello for most meals but did order a lasagne in room on one day, which was absolutely delicious! It's one of the best hotels I've stayed in, in terms of quality of room, views from the room and exceptional customer service by Massimo and the rest of the team. We can't wait to go back again!

This hotel was our last one during our round trip in Italy and the best room we had. It was a suite with separate living, bed and a large bath room, which had a shower and a large bath tub with whirlpool functions. Also a terrace with some garden space and a view directly to the sea was available. Only thing to mention, were some loud machine/installation next to it, which made pretty loud noises all night. Breakfast offered a lot of choices and selection was put on plates by the service people to ensure corona hygiene protocols. The service team was always very friendly and helpful. We are wondering why the dining area was very steril and uninviting, even dinner and snacks were offered. We had one dinner and were very surprised about the very good homemade lasagne which was served on a table prepared after ordering with tablecloth and everything else.
Parking place for car is available in the hotel area and depending on the location of the room there some ways up and downs to be taken in the hotel area (it is build into the mountain with separate buildings). Also the the way to Ravello requires about a 20 minutes up-hill walk on a twisting road or a stone stairway maybe a little quicker. Because we are not used to this, this was a little challenge for us :-). We would recommend to take the bus from Ravello to visit other places, because driving is very challenging and parking places are very rare. Enjoy your stay!

We would give this Villa a 100 stars if we could, 5 seems so small considering how wonderful this property & the staff here are.
The Villa Piedimonte is a beautiful property located in the heart of Ravello with stunning panoramic views.
We were lucky enough to spend 5 nights here in the lead up to and after our gorgeous wedding. We stayed in an executive suite for 2 nights, and then the deluxe suite just before & after our wedding. Both suites were exceptional with breathtaking views from the terraces, very clean, with modern facilities which has been designed with comfort and elegance entwined. This property exudes sophistication and class without pretentiousness.
As mentioned earlier, we spent our initial first 2 nights in an executive suite before moving to the deluxe suite before our wedding. We had previously only booked for 3 nights (the deluxe suite) however a sudden change of plans had brought us to Ravello earlier than expected. The Villa Piedimonte received a call from our wedding planner asking if they would be able to accommodate us earlier than expected. All I can say is from the moment we arrived at the Piedimonte the staff here were amazing!!! They treated us with such kindness, and made us feel so special. We had been having a stressful time, and they assured us the celebrations for our wedding would begin at that moment, which meant so much to us, it made us tearful. We were given coffee & delicious pastries upon arrival and asked to just relax and enjoy whilst they prepared the best suite they had available at short notice for us. Once the suite was ready they also surprised us with a complementary glass of bubbles served in our suite.
Throughout our stay, the staff here gave exceptional service, attention to detail and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble. All staff encountered were friendly, kind and lovely. The beautiful deluxe suite has a huge terrace which was perfect for pre wedding photographs with my bridesmaids, the view was spectacular! The rest of the Villa complex is equally impressive and maintained to a very high standard. The laundry service laundered my husbands shirt for the wedding perfectly, and room service was without fault.
After our stay, check out was easy and stress free. The Piedimonte allowed us to leave our car on the property whilst enjoying our last few hours in Ravello, before heading to Capri, our whole stay at this villa was perfection and we will definitely be back here to celebrate our anniversaries.
We would 100% recommend staying in the beautiful property, we have only high praise for the lovely staff, stunning panoramic views and exceptionally well maintained suites & grounds of the Villa Piedimonte.

My (now) wife Anna and I started our honeymoon along the Amalfi coast in Ravello. After an easy arrival at the gated pivate parking space of the hotel (which is a blessing considering that there is no street parking) we were welcomed with a personal note by the front staff. We received congratulations to our wedding and were able to immediately indulge into the local pastries and drinks at the afternoon tea. Once we were in our room we found both a stunning sea-view over the coastline of Amalfi and a complimentary bottle of Champagne with strawberries. This was the start of an amazing time at Villa Piedimento. We had a fantastic time and Ravello itself was a beautiful haven. The complimentary breakfast was served at a balcony with the best morning-views we had during our time at Amalfi. The quality and variety of food was outstanding.

Dear Massimo & the team at Villa Piedimonte. Thank you for your excellent hospitality and kindness during our short stay. Your hotel and Ravello were the highlights of our Italian adventure and topped off the end of our Amalfi trip. Our only mistake was not booking your hotel for longer.
To anyone considering Villa Piedimonte I would absolutely recommend it as a luxury option alongside the other highly acclaimed names. The hotel is in a fantastic location, a short 5/10 minute walk from the centre of ravello, albeit with a few steep climbs (to be expected in the area), and offers breathtaking views of the gulf. The staff are all brilliant and will go the extra mile to make sure you are well taken care of and get the most out of your stay.
The rooms are enormous (we stayed in a deluxe suite and a comfort suite) and have the amenities of a 5* hotel. I would recommend a room with the jacuzzi bath and a view and these are worth paying a little extra for.
We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but the breakfast had a vast array of choices (American, continental, Italian, varieties of juices, cakes and fruits etc) and there is a poolside bar with very fairly priced drinks. (The sunbeds surrounding the pool are comfortable and even during peak season we managed to claim two at all times.) The hotel even offered to provide us with a breakfast basket to take with us one morning on an early excursion on a boat.
Don't be put off by the lack of a fifth star, the hotel beat our expectations and so did Ravello. It is also covid secure and green.
Places worth visiting nearby; gardens of villa rufolo, gardens of Villa cimbrone. Restaurants; belvedere @ belmond caruso, rossellinis @ palazzo avino.
Thanks again to the team and I'm sure we will be back!

One of the best hotels we stayed on during our holiday in the south of Italy, and truly worth considering if you prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy villages of Amalfi and Positano.
We were warmly greeted by Massimo and quickly checked in. When we walked into our room, we were wonderfully surprised: spa bath with bath salts and lovely bathroom amenities, separate living room and a large king sized bed with plush bedding, but the highlight was the terrace with breathtaking and calming views of the surrounding hills and the Amalfi coast. Waking up at 6 in the morning and boiling that first cup of tea to then sit on the terrace and soak in the views I could do every day of the week so much so that we even decided to extend our stay for another night.
Although we didn’t spend too much time Using the facilities of the hotel itself, it was modern and tastefully decorated. The breakfast service was exceptional and the staff very friendly who ensured we had a tea or coffee as soon as we sat down. All covid precautions were in place for safety, which was appreciated. We sat on the balcony to soak in the views once again while we tucked into the delicious spread of food.
The hotel offers a shuttle service in a cool, vintage Fiat van to the centre at the top, which was a nice touch.
I can’t fault the hotel as everything met or exceeded expectations, from service to the guest room and hotel facilities.
Would definitely stay here again.

Ravello offers the best views on and of the Amalfi coast and is the prettiest village with plenty to see for a day, and the hotel is perfectly located to explore Ravello as it provides a shuttle to the centre of the village and you can walk back all downhill in 10 minutes. This means you get the best of Ravello without having to live in the centre of the village. And on the topic of views, you get an amazing sunrise from the hotel room and restaurant. Perfect. The room deco is light, bright, and fresh, the bathroom is amazing, all conveniences available, the place is nice and warm (we stayed there in late October), the bed is super king. The staff is totally professional, friendly, and engaged. We took a couple of meals, the dishes we had were significantly above local restaurant fare. The pool looked amazing but we could not make the time sadly. By now you know we totally recommend the hotel and Ravello as the best spots on the coast.

As another recent reviewer just mentioned, if you arrive later in the season (for us it was the first week of October), you will be informed that they already switched the AC to "winter mode". We were extremely lucky that our weather was amazing during the day (mid 70's and sunny) but we were not prepared to have no AC. This hotel clearly states on their website that they have AC. At check in we were told that we could open the vents to get airflow instead. After night 1, we were so uncomfortable and unable to sleep. I had a little device with me that checks temperature and our room got to 80 degrees during the day. After having a technician come to our room, they were unable to get our vents to work and offered us a room change. We were ok with the downgrade in room type to hopefully have some air flow. The room was in fact a a few degrees colder which we were thrilled with. It wasn't until a few hours later when we were back from exploring town that we realized the balcony on our new room was directly next to a large piece of equipment (I think the HVAC for main building ironically) that was extremely loud and ran all hours of the night. You stay at this location for the view and there was no way we were going to sit outside with a very loud banging noise. Even with all windows and doors closed, it was still quite loud. No one should be put in this room with that sound which is probably why the room was available even though the hotel was quite busy. (I have a video of the loud noise but trip advisor doesn't allow videos to be uploaded)
For the reasons above, I would never return to this hotel. All of that aside, the staff was pleasant and the breakfast was in the main building with air conditioning and a beautiful view.

Response from Giuseppe Taranto, Direttore generale at Villa Piedimonte
Responded 26 Oct 2022
Dear Guest, We thank you very much for spending a few words regarding your recent stay at Villa Piedimonte. On the whole, we would have expected a few more positive mentions about our helpful and always spot on Staff, who did their best to make your stay as pleasant as possible; same for our breakfast service, loved by thousands of our Guests, since we provide with delicious Sfogliatelle and Pastiere (the typical Neapolitan pastries), buffalo mozzarella, croissants, scrambled eggs and bacon, fresh fruit and vegetables every day, cold meat such as Parma Ham and Naples Salame, just to highlight only a little part of it. As far as your less positive comment is concerned, we would like to remark that it comes as a surprise, since we inform all of our Guests at check-in about our air conditioning being on heating mode, as you have clearly confirmed. We definitely were not expecting Spring-like temperatures in this latter part of the season and fortunately we are not having boiling temperatures like in August. Therefore, since we are experiencing warm temperatures in the morning and quite chilly ones in the evening, we are obliged to provide with heating air. In addition, being a central system, we are not able to provide hot air in the rooms and air conditioning in our breakfast room: it was simply due to the open windows. In regard to your assigned room, as just mentioned, maybe the place where the room is located ensured a colder temperature, but still we confirm that our central system provides with warm air in all of the rooms. Should the temperature be too high, it is reasonable to turn the air conditioning off, also to contribute to avoid energy wasting. In the hope to welcome you again, to show that you could have a change of heart, we wish you all the best. Kind regards, Villa Piedimonte **** Massimo D'Apolito Resident Manager

Would very highly recommend staying here. The room is lovely (high tech touches are fun!) and perfectly clean. Super large comfy bed. Robes and slippers a nice touch and good quality toiletries. But the real highlight is the view! It takes your breath away and the windows on 3 sides of the room show it from all angles. The wraparound balcony with sun loungers would be a dream in the summer. We could sleep with the curtains open without being overlooked which meant waking up to the view. I’m not sure if all rooms have a view but worth paying extra if it means you get to experience it. The jacuzzi bath is a nice extra.
Staff were super friendly, free parking, lovely pool (although too cold for swimming in April!) jacuzzi bath.
Only downsides (and I’m being very picky!) are: Shower could be a bit more powerful, some kind of water noise in the walls woke me up a couple of times (although it didn’t wake my partner) and we couldn’t turn balcony light off which didn’t bother me but it would have been nice to see the lights on the hills from the bed. Breakfast is not self service because of covid precautions so it’s a bit awkward having to ask staff to fill your plate for you, we ended up with a slightly strange selection! It was all perfectly tasty though.

We did not get in the pool because we had a lot going on with our wedding. We didn't see anyone in the pool. Email the hotel, they are great at answering quickly!! Fabrizio was the person who I would speak to. They were great. The rooms were awesome and so was the staff. Views were spectacular!!!
