We had the family suite, which was amazing!! The location was very convenient to the largest ski lift in the area. We had the half board - dinner and breakfast were included. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was plentiful and good with food for a variety of refined tastes. My one suggestion might be that they add either a children’s menu or some more kid-friendly options. My 9 year old was not impressed with swordfish steak, grilled trout, or chickpea soup - no matter how well it was prepared! We would certainly return, but we might skip the half-board arrangement next time.

We really enjoyed this facility where we found a nice atmosphere. The general infrastructure is good and we enjoyed the internal spa where we spent after-sky time; there are many features like sauna, Jacuzzi, gym, turkish-bath , a small but nice swimming pool. Internal restaurant is very well managed by a very professional and courteous staff. Excellent breakfast.

We arrived at this hotel 2 days ago, planning to stay 2 nights. Within the first 30 minutes Ute's we had decided to extend our stay for two more nights. Our experience upon arrival was warm and welcoming, the hotel is impeccably clean, and the facilities offer everything we need.
Our list of requirements when selecting a hotel was ...
1. Located close to snow fields that can accommodate our family of 3.. one experienced snow boader, one adult first time skier and child (4 years old) who had not skied before.
2. Hotel has to have an I door pool for my daughter (the indoor pool here is warm, and comfortable for Wi ter swimming.
3. Be located in a town where we could enjoy some short walks, to get coffee and see a few old buildings.
This hotel fulfiled our requirements and more.
Rooms are spacious and so very clean.
The staff are all very friendly, and the ha e been very helpful.
Food is good (half board) with different dinner menu each night.
We feel very comfortable with their covid response, checking, including prebooking the pool to avoid crowds, gloves and precautions at breakfast, all staff wearing masks and ensuring all necessary steps are taken to keep their guests safe. We highly recommend this hotel, and this location for a family snow holiday. We will certainly return.

The hotel is very cozy, clean and on the good location. Room is so big, comfortable but bathroom is from ither time. It needs to be renovated. Food is fantastic. Breakfast could be earlier if you 'd like to ski from beginning. Spa is good. Stuff' s hopefull and kind. I recommend this family hotel.

I am a medical professional and travel widely. May I say this is one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in - I would recommend you to avoid this establishment if at all possible. I didn't research the published reviews well enough to see more clearly .... unfortunately for me!
I came with a group of skiers and dancers in February 2016. The outside impression is ok, but already on entering the lobby, it's barn door obvious that this place hasn't been renovated since the 1970s. It's listed as a 4 star, but in reality it is a bad 2 star by quality - despite the official classification. I was in the junior suite room 502 on the 5th floor - two adjoining rooms, one small, one medium sized room. The corridors STINK of old dusty carpets - which are heavily stained and look awful. Fellow hotel guests had to get anti-allergy medicine from staying in the hotel! Be warned - it really STINKS. The decor is AWFUL throughout the hotel. It's best described as a Fawlty Tower's Type hotel - John Cleese and Conny Booth would have been inspired here for a whole new series of the infamous BBC television sitcom of the 1970s. Horrible old stained carpets throughout the bedrooms, too - you just don't want to ever walk on them. Dinner is served in similarly terribly bad taste dining rooms which are mostly far away from any windows. Cheap silver cardboard placemats. Lots of staff, but terribly bad food - significantly worse than in a university or military canteen. I only stayed one night of a planned 7 day stay as I found the whole experience so overwhelmingly bad. The small "ballroom" had a wooden floor with big gaps. The vestibule stank of old cigarette smoke. The spa area is a bad joke: she swimming pool is minuscule, the sauna area STINKS of cheesy feet and the relaxation room is reminiscent of a war bunker - really awful. I have never seen any "spa" anywhere in the world as bad! I complained to the reception manager who was to his credit very courteous, only charged me for the first night and reimbursed me the remainder of the deposit paid in a very polite manner. There are lots of nice places in town to stay, including the hotel immediately next to it and on the other side of the road!

Third time at Grand Hotel Des Alpes and the experience never let us down. We had a fantastic room with an incredible view, the service was impeccable and the team always extremely professional and kind. We loved to chill out in the pool and Spa at the end of the day. Food experience was absolutely amazing too, from breakfast to dinner. I highly recommend this hotel for your summer and winter holidays. We really look forward to coming back soon.

We had very enjoyable Christmas week at Grand Hotel Des Alpes. Our room # 510 had enough space to accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. We had half board reservation and must say it turned out to be a good option. The breakfast was plentiful, Italian style with great coffee, different flavour tarts, local cheeses jams etc. No pancakes or egg station (which we didn't need but I'm sure that if requested Sig. Angelo would have made sure we get what we need). For dinner on the other hand was every day different menu (every time options of meat, fish and pasta), plenty of local delicacies and excellent wine.

The service was at a high standard and very courteous. We were quite impressed by the professional approach of every single person working in the hotel. The children club was the highlight for our children. In spite the fact that our children didn't speak Italian, they still managed to make friends and even learn some Italian Christmas songs! Valeria was amazing with the children. In the meantime we had a chance to enjoy the sauna, the Turkish bath or simply have a walk around the village. We didn't use the swimming pool.

The location of the hotel is excellent in the centre of the village and literally 2 minutes from the nearest ski lift. Short walking distance to get to the shops, restaurants, ski school offices etc..
All in all very highly recommended !

I have been to the G. Hotel des Alpes , in San Martino di Castrozza and it was awesome!
As we booked online, we had been attracted by the positive reviews about this hotel and we now totally agree with them. Everything is excellent.
People staying at the hotel are of a certain kind, somehow sophisticated. I don’t mean they are snob, but it was nice to be surrounded by that kind of crowd.
Our room was perfect (junior suite). It costed 100 Euros per night per person on half board, which it’s not a high price at all . In addition, wellness area was included.
We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and we liked it a great deal: food and wine were exquisite.
The wine menu is remarkable as it includes the most famous wineries of Trentino (34/40 Euros per bottle on average).
Living rooms are cozy and elegant.
Live music nights are enjoyable and the music creates a very pleasant atmosphere.
I strongly recommend this hotel and if I’ll go back to Italy I’ll come back for sure!
Ps. There is also an indoor charming smoking room equipped with a 60’’ lcd tv! Who can resist a good glass of brandy with a cigar?
