Lovely hotel with lots of character. Rooms are beautifully decorated and roomy. Our rooms had balcony too. Nice and plentiful breakfast with breads, cheeses, meats, eggs, cakes & pastries, cereals and fruit. Very nice cappuccino too. Above all it's run by a lovely couple who make you feel right at home. Can't recommend strongly enough. (Photo is evening view from outside hotel. Front-facing rooms have similar view)
This is a fantastic hotel as many other reviewers have indicated. The owners are kind and friendly and always ready to offer help when needed. The decor of the hotel is individual and not like other hotels, but full of character. It's very clean and has a lovely view over the mountains. If you don't have a car, the walk up the hill is a bit steep but not too bad. The town is five minutes away. The breakfast at Villa Martha is exceptional. Eggs made to order, sparkling wine if you want it, home made cakes, lovely cheeses, meats and bread. There is a lovely area for sitting out and you can get a drink from the bar. All the details here are great, like bringing a chocolate with your drink. I would completely recommend the Villa Martha. It's great value as well.
Matteo & Nathalie are wonderful owners with pride & professionalism in their blood. Their friendly attitude and hospitality permeates every little corner of this nice, classic hotel. The breakfasts are incredible - thanks greatly to their home-baked pies and pastries! Lovely views and clean efficient services. I thank Matteo & Nathalie for making me feel like I was at home during my 8-day stay! Great base for exploring the Val Gardena. I preferred Santa Cristina because it was smaller & quieter and less built up than Ortisei or (especially) - Selva.
It has everything: a perfect location - 10 mins from Ortisei and 1 hour from Bolzano, a nice and kind owners always smiling and willing to help, a beautiful view, and an EXCELLENT breakfast. Highly recommended.
When I started looking for hotels in Val Gardena, I had skipped this initially. Thought the ‘adults only’ was something shady. It was anything but! This is a great hotel with the best breakfast buffet I’ve seen anywhere. The rooms were good, and Matteo and his colleague are fab! Parking is abundant and right in front of the hotel. I’d highly recommend this place.
