Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A second opportunity I got to stay at this beautiful hotel- and it’s beauty lies in its warmth, simplicity, cleanliness and a luxurious look! One could spend days here— you step out and you are in such lovely surroundings of the township of Bockhorn - it’s all so quiet and scenic around here. The hotel exudes quality and care. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle bustle of a big city and spend some lazy, happy times without feeling cut off!
Wonderful friendly staff always eager to help.
Keep it up.

A lovely hotel, excellent service, kind staff, great breakfast buffet, comfortable room, located in a lovely small town. We visited recently during the rhododendron season and enjoyed the beautiful area Bockhorn and the hotel is located in.

Would recommend this wonderful, quaint, delightful hotel. We stayed here for 7 nights while visiting Germany with friends who stayed nearby with their family. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Grocery with deli and bakery right next door. Staff was attentive, rooms were large and comfy. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

The hotel staff was nice, it is clean, the rooms are big, the shower is hot, there is nothing wrong with this hotel, it is just completely lacks any identity with the region, as does nothing to deserve the name "Friesisch". It looks like any other 1990 German hotel, it could have been in Dortmund or Brandenburg, or wherever. The are is beautiful ad=nd it certainly is a good starting point to visit the area. If you want local food, you will again be disappointed, as the restaurant is.... a pizzeria ! No Gruenkohl here ;) Breakfast was really good, lots of choice and tasty bread, good choice of charcuterie, joghurts jams etc. If you do not mind the style, and if you do not mind eating Italian in Friesland, it is a really good place to stay.

My family and I stayed here as i was getting married in Germany. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were made to feel so welcome. My family were naturally anxious as they don't speak German but everyone tried their best to assist them. The rooms were very comfortable and the new wing in particular is lovely. The breakfast was tasty and you are well looked after. This really made our time there relaxing and a delight. I can't recommend it enough.

We visited the area and stayed in the hotel for 2 nights.

It was a pleasant stay and we had a good room (#22) under the roof. It was spacious which was good as we needed an extra bed for our child. Breakfast the next morning was good as well.

had a very nice holiday. Rooms were immaculate and clean, staff were nice and friendly. Breakfast buffet was sufficient and good. The wellness area, which can be used, is worth mentioning. Whirlpool, 3 different saunas to choose from. We will be back, no question.
