What a fantastic base for snowboarding in Val Gardena. This family run hotel is by some way the best hotel I have stayed in whilst on a snowboarding trip. Some of the decor in the room was a little dated but was more than made up for by the hospitality shown to the group. The breakfast and dinner were great with a 4/5 course dinner that would not have been out of place in a top end restaurant. The only negative is that if you are looking for great apres ski, the area surrounding is very quiet and you need a taxi to get to and fro but the guys will organise it for you. A great place to stay and look forward to going back :)

My husband and I spent three days hiking in Val Gardena and this hotel was such a pleasant surprise! They took such well care of us, showed us where to go and loaned us hiking poles. The breakfast buffet was great and the three (in some cases four!) course dinner was excellent! Wine selection perfect👌. All the staff was so nice and helpful. And oh yeah, the rooms were big and clean with lots of towels. All in all, we couldn’t be happier and will surely come back!

Pleasant, helpful staff. Excellent position for the slopes. Very good food and service. One of the easiest to recommend hotels I have ever used. Santa Christina is a quiet village so no raucous apres-ski to be had. Not a bad thing.

We just stayed here for NewYears week 2020 with the complete family. It´s the first time we had such an excellent service for one of the boys who has different foodallergies. They really took care of him so that his plate looked similar to the others but avoiding his allergens. Overall we had an excellent week due to the staff, location, rooms etc. We surely come back Ed Tackoen

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel over new year 2020. The brothers that run the hotel (and all of the other staff) are lovely and the service is awesome. I’ve included some pictures of our room on the third floor and the fire in the reception area that was lit each evening. There is a spa area with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room which was good. The food is amazing!!! However if you book with Crystal/TUI don’t use their ski hire as it is a 20 minute drive away and we were given no instruction on how to get there, thankfully Thomas sorted a lift for us from the ski shop, the equipment we got was very old and battered so If we came again we would gets the hire sorted with the hotel instead. Also don’t expect to see a rep...they don’t bother coming here although that may be a good thing. In terms of skiing/snowboarding, it isn’t a beginner resort as you need to get the Saslong Run (either a black or tricky red) back into the resort each evening and there are mostly red and black runs in this part of the Dolomites. Overall the hotel is an incredible place. From breakfast to dinner the brothers and staff never seem to disappoint. As we stayed over into the New Year they all put in the extra effort (which we loved) into a 6 course meal with starter “pickings” in the bar area and at midnight there own firework show outside the front of the hotel. Our son is not a massive fan of fish and they went the extra mile and helped us facilitate him having a different option. Also their apple strudel is AMAZING!!!!

We stayed over Xmas 2018 and I can thoroughly recommend this as a ski holiday base. The owner brothers are all very friendly an welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is clean, has a pleasant light bar, cosy lounge area with an open fire tended by the founding grandfather. The food in the restaurant was excellent and as a coeliac they went the extra mile to provide gluten free options at breakfast and dinner - even special desserts, including Tiramsu - what a treat! Much appreciated. The spa area is very good but be aware as part of the Austrian Tirol area it is traditional naked. Location is good for skiing. The ski bus stops right outside and drops you at the Col raiser gondola. This has some excellent skiing and being just off the sella ronda is that bit quieter. The long run down to Ortisei is one of my favourites anywhere. It makes a great place to finish the day off, catch the sun set and then ski right back to within 20m of the hotel. Or from the col raiser gondola you can get the underground tube train- yes really! - which links to the bottom of the saslong and hence the sella ronda. The town is a 10 minute walk down the hill, not huge but at Xmas has a really pretty market complete with lit ice slide sculpture, full size nativity scene, alpine horn players and mulled wine! A nice bar in the hotel by the roundabout at the bottom of the hill too.

Spent our first holiday at Kristiania the w/c 2nd of February. In addition the fabulous skiing conditions the hotel was a fantastic experience for us. It's family run with three brothers running it. It was impeccably clean and all the staff were friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our stay special. Food was very good and we both came home a few pounds heavier despite the skiing. I'd strongly recommend this hotel to people who are keen skiers and who want a fabulous base for their vacations

We return here year on year and have done so for the last 15years. We are made to feel so welcome and special. The hotel is always cosy and beautifully warm.... just what is needed after a day on the slopes. The evening meals are very good and the wine cellar is excellent .... and we have never felt the desire to venture out in the evenings.... tempted to sit by the centrally placed roaring wood fire and relax with a lovely glass of wine or liquor or even a beer.
