A lovely family run hotel on the edge of the village centre. It only takes five minutes to get to the centre for buses and a very good DeSpar supermarket. The views down the valley are glorious, with the dining room having big panoramic windows. The continental b'fast was very good with the expected selections of cereals, meats, cheese etc. We were half board and the food was very enjoyable, especially the salad bar. We had a superior room, which had plenty of space and a balcony, with views across the valley. The hotel operated a minibus service to get residents to and from the slope, which our friends said worked well. We went out and explored the many piste-bashed walks, which were spectacular.

Hotel Bellevue is well located with good parking and with stunning views of the surrounding peaks. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The food was tasty, well prepared and plentiful. The outstanding feature of the hotel was the warm and helpful Kelder family who made us feel most welcome and went the extra mile to give us local information and any other help we needed.

This Hotel is ideal for anyone wanting a true Ski experience. The Hotel is perfectly located, very central and yet away from all the traffic and busy roads in Selva. Very close to the major and important Ski lifts. Hotel offers regular shuttle services to the ski lifts to avoid any uncomfortable walking to the lifts. The staff are extremely friendly and the rooms are kept clean at all times. The selection of food was also great and diversified. We stayed on half board basis and if at dinner there was something we weren't too keen on, we were given the chance to change the menu for dinner. We will definitely visit again as the Kedler family made our trip Perfect for us
Thanks once again for everything ;)

We stayed at the Hotel Bellevue in January 2014 and were disappointed in the overall experience, primarily because of the poor attitudes and hospitality of the family Kelder.
I’ll preface the rest of this review by saying that this is our third trip of this type – a long ski weekend where we enjoy a little après ski, some spa time, and delicious food in an alpine setting. We have had great experiences in both St. Anton, Austria and Zermatt, Switzerland at family-run hotels so had high expectations for friendly staff keen to help us have the best trip possible.
From the moment we arrived we never felt like we were wanted as guests, even though the hotel was primarily empty. When my husband and I travel we generally enjoy speaking to the staff and getting recommendations on what to do in town, where to eat, best places to ski to / from, and every time we would ask a question of the daughter (who seems to be primarily running the day to day operations), she made it seem as if it was a huge trouble to speak to us and that we were generally bothering her.
After dinner one night we were sitting in the common area and my friend went up to the bar to order a drink and literally stood there for 10 minutes while the mother Kelder (who was tending bar) continued a conversation she was having with her friend and just outright ignored him. She didn’t seem to have this reaction to other guests at the bar and clearly just couldn’t be bothered to have anything to do with us. Eventually the father Kelder came over to serve him.
One day we got stranded in Cortina and due to bad weather the main through road was closed, as well as the ski access to Selva, so we ended up taking a four hour journey on three different buses around the entire mountain range to get back to Selva. Obviously we were still in our ski wear and had all our gear with us the entire time, so after finally arriving back in Selva and trekking the 10 minutes up the hill back to Hotel Bellevue, we arrived, exhausted, at 8 PM to find the ski room locked. We asked the father Kelder to let us in the ski room so we could store our equipment and got scolded that the “ski room closes at 6 PM” and he was clearly very angry that we were troubling him so much to unlock a door after our exhausting and frustrating 4 hour journey home.
A final point regarding the mother Kelder, during the entirety of our stay she never once said hello to us or smiled in our direction, rather she glared at us every time we entered a room, as if we were inconveniencing her by staying in her hotel. Never have we felt so unwelcome in a place.
It is very disappointing that we were spending good money at this establishment which clearly didn’t appreciate it. It is frustrating that people like this are in the hospitality industry if they don’t like to deal with tourists, as it leaves a sour taste for everyone.

My boyfriend and I were in this beautiful village a month ago: plenty of snow, nice weather, it was like a fairy tale. Hotel Bellevue overlooks the whole town and I have to say the view from the dining room is just amazing. It's a very good place to relax, quiet at night located on top of a hill only a short distance from town centre and slopes. The hotel has a free shuttle bus but we never really used the service as we enjoyed walking around the area. Food was great, rooms were spotless clean and perhaps even too warm, the sauna was never packed with people and the hotel itself a lovely place to spend a few magic days. Recommended!

We stayed a week here in January. This is our fourth time staying at this hotel and it never disappoints. The rooms are always spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. The food is outstandingly good. Four course dinner at night is something to look forward to and never disappoints
The Family Kelder are warm and welcoming and make all the guests feel well looked after. The hotel also provides a ski shuttle to the lifts in the morning and back in the evening which is great for tired legs.

We have just returned from a week’s skiing in Selva Val Gardena staying at the Hotel Bellevue.

We arrived at 9pm and received the warmest welcome from the Kelder family followed by a hot three course dinner.

Our superior double room was massive, with a balcony and a view! The room had plenty of hanging space for all our ski clothing as well as a sofa area and desk. The Austrian twin bed was very comfortable and the room always nice and warm. The shower was powerful and there was always plenty of hot water after a day on the slopes.

We were staying on a half board basis, the food was excellent. Buffet for breakfast was cold meats, cheese, breads, cereals, yoghurt, pastries etc as well as boiled eggs. Dinners each night were four courses: salad buffet, soup/pasta, main course and dessert. We were given the set dinner menu each morning and could request changes if you wished. The food was delicious and varied each evening, the portions were more than large enough!

The hotel runs a ski shuttle bus each morning to the two main lifts in Selva and then collects you from a bus stop each evening. The shuttle bus service was great, on demand in the morning and every 20 minutes in the evening.

The hotel has a wellness area including a sauna, steam room and foot massage bath. We hired bathrobes from the hotel and used the wellness area each evening. Remember not to wear your swimming costume though!

The best thing about the hotel was the Family Kelder who made us feel so welcome, always stopping to chat to each guest (in English, German or Italian as appropriate) to ensure everyone was having a good time.

Brilliant hotel, highly recommended! The skiing was great too!

We were on a family holiday for one week in the Bellevue hotel - as a honeymoon gift - and it's been absolutely perfect! My husband is lactose-intolerant and it's always a bit of a hassle to make sure he's also able to enjoy a holiday with good food (without the risk of getting sick). However, our week at Bellevue couldn't have been better and more comforting. We emailed Giovanna and she arranged fresh, milk-free bread and allowed us to use the refrigerator to bring a lot of our own products. I gave some of them to the chef (like soy cream etc), and he made the most amazing meals & desserts with them. He also prepared some pre-course salad dishes for him, and Giovanna was always waiting for us to explain which dishes he could and couldn't have. Such a great service! We were really well treated and Jozef, the owner, always came and ask us if everything was alright. Next to that, the location of the hotel is great, just a stroll from the center of Selva, the beds are very comfortable, rooms are clean and have a balcony with great views no matter which side you're on, and the sunbeds outside were lovely for sunbathing in the afternoon. The only 1up for this hotel would be a swimming pool, which would have made a great addition on days when it's over 25+'C, but that's really all I can think of missing in the hotel (and slightly better wifi perhaps). Would definitely come back for another week!

We have just spent a week in this hotel and had a great time in all respects.
The room was on the third floor with a comfortable lift, large and with a covered veranda. The location is excellent because it is a stone's throw from the center but at the same time it is quiet with an adequate outdoor area in the shade and sun with garden furniture. Convenient parking and good dinners and breakfasts.
Val Gardena is gorgeous and we can't wait to return!
