This is our favorite hotel in selva - and maybe in all wintersport resorts in europe. Super nice family (owned) hotel with great staff and brilliant food. Excellent hotel and wonderful food! Highly recommend. All staff so helpful and friendly, they made our holiday so much more enjoyable. The restaurant staff were lovely and attentive - thank you for making our first trip to the Dolomites a memorable one! Thank you too Rosie for your help, advice and attention to detail on our sightseeing trips, it proved invaluable and made all the difference. The hotel has an excellent team - keep up the good work!!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Somont on our week long hiking trip. Our room was beautiful, the amenities were fantastic, and the views cannot be beat. The staff, in particular Rosie, went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We would love to stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Amazing experience!

My wife and I recently spent 5 nights at this friendly, charming hotel. Each day we hiked the Dolomites and appreciated the hotel's easy access to cable cars, bus lines and trails. We chose the half-board option and were rewarded with full breakfasts along with multiple choices for our 5-course evening meals. This option provided convenience and tremendous value. The chef's creative presentation of each course was always fun to anticipate. After dinner we strolled into town followed by delicious digestifs back in the cozy lounge area at the hotel. Contributing to our overall positive experience at The Somont was Rosy, with her warm smile as she welcomed us back or wished us well as we ended our day - she even took the initiative to provide us with new ping pong paddles. This is a really nice little hotel. Facilities are scrupulously clean and food is really good. Rooms are a decent size and ours had a dual aspect balcony, really nice. It’s well located for the buses and the ciampioi gondola, being a 5 minute walk. I was here on a summer walking holiday and it suited really well. Probably also good for ski holidays - I think there’s a piste at the rear of the hotel. Special thanks to Rosie who has been the friendly face of the hotel and sorted out any issues. She has also introduced us to several lovely local drinks 😊

We had a wonderful week, the skiers and the grandparents baby sitting . It is a ski in ski out, and the children came out of the elevator put their skis on and off they went to the champinoi gondola down the road. They both loved the skiing. The hotel rooms were big (upgraded rooms) very clean, nice white bedding , good bathroom with a great view of the gondola going up and down. Bath robes and good quality slippers ideal for the swimming pool. The swimming pool is warm, at a perfect temperature. It is very unpleasant when swimming pools are freezing. Nice jacuzzi and sauna. Breakfast is excellent and so is supper . You choose your menu at breakfast time. Lorena and her team work hard and everything runs like clockwork. The young lad (Spanish speaking) was very helpful with the weighing of our 8 suitcases to comply withTitan’s allowance. The ski school for kids is not very near the hotel . Our group of four were most satisfied with our one week stay at Hotel Somont! + For dining, the hotel seated our group in a quiet corner which we very much appreciated because one of us wears hearing equipment. + Skiers are able to take a lift from the ski room directly to the slope - this hotel offers real ski-in-ski-out! + Ski lockers have space for skis, boots and helmets. + Spacious and extremely clean rooms (we were in floor 2) and so much storage for all the clothes and other stuff that we were not able to fill it in - despite the huge luggage :) Our room even had two big balconies. + Excellent breakfast and dinner. + Lovely personnel. + Great after-ski at La Stua was only a minutes walk away. + Before the trip, our inquiries were answered without delay. I was really sorry to hear today that due to coronavirus Val Gardena will close for the rest of the season. We had a lovely time there last week and will come back! All is good about this place. In no particular order: 1. Owner and staff - superhelpfull and nice. 2. Food - just awesome. 3. Location- internal lift literally takes u from ski room to piste access. No walking! 4. Hotel rooms - supernice and cozy. 5. Pool and sauna, great. Not cheap but worth it!

Stayed for one week in FEB 2020, great location ski in and out. The rooms where cleaned every morning and the rooms are big and plenty of space for your outdoor clothes. Great Spa on the ground floor. Friendly staff and good food!! Can Highly recommend.

We have just returned from an absolutely fantastic ski holiday in Selva and would wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Somont. The rooms are large and very comfortable, breakfast and dinner delicious, the ski room well-equipped and convenient for the slopes and the location excellent (5 minutes walk from the centre of town and lift access from the hotel straight on to the slopes of the Sella Ronda). Can't wait to go back....
