Just back from a weeks stay here for some walking in the Dolomites. Really couldn't fault this hotel. Spacious room , always well cleaned . Food delicious with good choices. Staff friendly and efficient , a special mention to Francessa who looked after us at meal times so well. The spa was a lovely surprise after a hard days walking . There is a pool spa and relaxation area and was never busy. The hotel is ideally placed 2 minutes walk from the centre of town and the free bus services to lifts for start of walks . Would highly recommend this fabulous small family run hotel.
Giorgio and Enrica and their team are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I emailed before arrival to ask for synthetic pillows and duvet and got a response within minutes. The food is outstanding. Buffet breakfast with fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurts, cheese and meats. Plus bacon and eggs. Dinner is a series of 5 small courses starting with a salad buffet which changes daily. The rooms are spacious spotless and very comfortable. The spa is very relaxing and I had a massage with Alexandra which was very well done. My husband was taken ill midweek and the staff were incredible in the way they got medical attention for us. We were having the best time and will definitely be back to finish what we started. Thank you.
I have rarely seen such a professional level of service. The staff is really well trained and eager to please their guests. The single traveller feels very welcome starting with a room with a pleasant view, a nice table at the restaurant (not in the back corner of the room), and the gentle attention of all staff involved. The half-board dinner is no less than a five-course menu that boasts Italian specialties prepared with innovative twists and excellent locally produced ingredients. The wine list is great with many local wines even with a wine-by-the-glass selection. The breakfast buffet offers a large choice of options. The Spa is exceptional, I thought, with a sauna, steam room, meditation room, swimming pool (against stream swimming if you wish), and bubbling section. In short, this hotel celebrated 50 years of business this year and they definitely have a robust experience on how to run a great establishment. …
We stayed here for a week’s skiing in March 2022. It’s a short 5-minute walk from the main gondola, and just next to the amazing supermarket. The hotel is beautifully furnished with comfortable, bright public rooms. The bedroom was lovely too. The food was amazing - a huge breakfast buffet, and the dinner was delicious - five small varied courses of restaurant quality catering every night. All the staff we encountered, whether at reception, waiting staff, or cleaning team, were friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Choose this lovely family-run hotel for your holiday, you won’t be disappointed.
We spent a week's skiing holiday at the Hotel Mignon and everything was excellent. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed and spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and helpful...nothing was ever too much. The Roman-themed spa had loads of different spaces including steam room, sauna and cool room as well as a delightful pool and was an ideal place for post ski relaxation. The food was superb. There was a very good range of choice for breakfast and the dinners were magnificent with a large salad bar followed by a four course meal with delicious interesting local specialities all beautifully presented. Secure heated boot lockers, regular shuttle to the lifts and a very easy downhill walk back in the evening. A lovely family-run hotel. Already looking at next year!
Hotel Mignon in Selva is ran by Giorgio and his wife Enrica. The attention to detail and quality of the Hotels offering is what brings us back each winter. You couldn’t wish to meet kinder people, who you can see genuinely want to deliver an excellent experience not only for their guests enjoyment, but a legacy for themselves. The staff are incredibly attentive, friendly and helpful. The hotel is immaculate. Transfer by Giorgio’s father to the lift in the hotel shuttle each morning. Honestly, cannot fault it. A joy to visit. To add, I injured myself skiing and Giorgio arranged the doctors appointment and offered to drive me to the appointment. Above and beyond the call of duty.. Thanks again Giorgio / Enrica and staff.
We,ve spent a ski week with friends in the hotel and it’s been fantastic. All the staff has an excellent attitude all times. The restaurant is more than exceptional: the dishes and its presentation is number 10. The buffet in the mornings is very correct. The spa is wonderful, very clean and with no defects!
Firstly to say we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mignon and I would recommend as a good hotel. It does have a nice caring feel to it and the SPA is a highlight after a day's walking, clean, well equipped and relaxing. It is very well located for the various walks. However, without wanting to appear too negative, there were a few downsides. At the moment there is a lot of building work right outside the hotel. 3 cranes and a digger was not the view we'd hope for to interrupt the amazing Dolomites. The food and service in the evening wasn't the best - quite long waits for some of the early courses and very little fish on the menu (1 dish out of 8 non veg main options) which disappointed my wife although may be typical for the area. That said food is well presented and courses are sized so you can enjoy them all, choice at breakfast was good. The suite we booked was OK but surprised it didn't have some basics such as a small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The parking is difficult and not easy to get in/out if you find a space. That said this part of the Dolomites is a stunningly beautiful area and people are helpful and kind so we'd like to return, our memories are overwhelmingly positive!…
Loved everything about this hotel. Accommodation (comfort room) was large and very comfortable, the decor of the hotel was high quality, the food was excellent (and plentiful), the staff were all very friendly and the free Spa was exceptionally good and a superb area to relax in at the end of a busy ski day. Frequent shuttle service provided access to lifts on both sides of the valley in a few minutes each morning. Ski return to hotel is about 5 minutes walk from one side of the valley and about 10 from the other side. Hotel is well positioned for this very scenic ski area, being right on the Sella Ronda (did it clockwise and anticlockwise during the week). Would love to return on a future ski holiday would definitely look at staying in Hotel Mignon again.
The hotel is great - good quiet location, nice warm and spacious rooms, comfortable beds, excellent boot-room and a wonderful spa area to relax in at the end of a hard days skiing. The owners/staff are amazing - Giorgio, Stefanie and Alexandra in particular were tremendous. The food and Italian wine selection are excellent. I missed a 'proper' hot tub with hot water - the spa has a larger pool area with jets, but the water is tepid. Would love them to offer a pick-up service in their minibus at the end of the day. And personally, the bar area, reception room and restaurant are a bit soul-less and would benefit from an upgrade to the lighting/decor to enhance the mood (some bedrooms are benefiting from this approach or see the Grand Baita hotel nearby for the impact of this). Having said all that, its a tremendous play to stay in Selva and I hope to return again!…
