A very elegant hotel, nice, a nice impact as soon as you enter!
YOU feel and make you feel at home... in the family, the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff, primarily the owner Mr. Stefano is really flagship of the accommodation we have chosen.
The location of the hotel is really very convenient, you can safely leave your car at the reserved parking to pick it up on departure. The location of the structure is very close to Piazza Nives, from where public transport transits facilitating very comfortable movements and where you will find one of the offices of Val Gardena Active from where guided hikes often leave (which we also took advantage of).
The room that was reserved for us was very comfortable, very bright because it enjoyed a large window and also an exit to a panoramic balcony, which we used in our afternoon and evening returns, taking advantage of the comfortable chairs. The room was always very clean and tidy, the bathroom very spacious, particularly appreciated because it enjoyed not only a comfortable shower, but also a beautiful and large window.
We chose the HB formula: breakfast was characterized by a wide choice of sweet / savory, with always fresh and typical products of the place ... but being a lover of dessert, I could not appreciate ... the delicious scent of croissants and baked cakes that went up to the corridors of the rooms that intoxicated our senses when leaving the room ... not to mention the evening ... it was time for us to cuddle in the evening, because apart from the courtesy combined with a very pleasant sympathy shown by all the waiting staff, dinner was very accurate, not only in the presentation of the dishes, but also for the goodness of the dishes proposed, not to mention the varied buffet always very inviting and captivating ...
The Tyrolean evening was very pleasant, accompanied by the presence of a musician who delighted us during the enjoyable path that was proposed to us.
We were pleasantly pleased with this stay and not only recommend the property, but we plan to return.
Thank you very much for every little attention (especially for the strudel lovingly prepared by Mr. Armin) that you have reserved for us.

We've just returned from a week hiking and mountain activities in Selva di val Gardena and we stayed at the wonderful Hotel Armin.

This family run hotel has to be one of the best I've stayed in while on a walking holiday. The hotel and rooms were spotless, the management and staff couldn't have been more attentive, helpful, professional or friendly, we felt so at home.

The hotel is right in the centre of Selva, with the town square and shops a minutes walk away. One of the main chairlifts is a five minute walk up the main high street and there is a large supermarket, again five minutes away behind the hotel.

The food was sublime! high end restaurant quality, often interactive (smoked Mackerel under a bowl filled with woodsmoke) which was fun and stretched to six courses. If you didn't like any of the three main daily course offerings there were two alternatives as standard.

We had a few unexpected surprises;
• A FREE Bus pass supplied by the hotel for the whole week covering the
Val Gardena area.
• Tea and cake served at 3pm everyday.
• And, the management, noticing it was my sons 21st birthday on our stay, made him a chocolate torte cake with candles and presented it to him after the evening meal with Happy Birthday music which all the guests sang along to, how's that for going above and beyond!

This fabulous hotel is set in one of the most stunning places on earth, easily matching Yosemite for splendour but far more accessible and varied, a hikers and mountain activity paradise.

If I could give Hotel Armin six stars I really would.
Seriously, stay there!

We spent a week in this splendid hotel, accompanied by our dog Ariel; we immediately felt at ease, the staff is very kind and the cleanliness is excellent; the quality of the food is excellent and the dishes are prepared at a higher level than the category of the hotel which has nothing to envy of the most famous hotels in the area. Our Ariel was submerged in cuddles from the owners. We will definitely be back.

A central hotel with no view rooms ok lacks soap bidet I would put hooks in the bathroom to hang the shower dangerous it could slip
There is no tea/coffee in the room with a useful kettle. You can find it in many hotels, even those with few stars
Partner of the owner's son Slovakian not even Tyrolean Italian without respect rude raises her voice very moody
Eating is not good all small stuff in the evening menu indicated ravioli with sauce and mozzarella 3 small ones arrive lined up with a strip of sauce
Cannelloni comes another all strange
Salad buffet and that's it and you pay n8n it's cheap
Eating senselessly I have not seen great quality and special choice breakfast etc exists much better in Selva

We stayed at the hotel Armin for 7 nights at the end of March. Everything about our stay was fantastic!! Check in was quick and easy. Our room was a nice size, with ample storage, comfortable bed, well equipped bathroom and free safe. There was also a spa bag with spa towel, dressing gown and slippers for use in the spa which was a very nice touch! The spa was quite small but had a steam room, hot sauna, warm sauna and aromatherapy shower all free of charge. The jacuzzi was an extra charge (I think around €5).

The ski room was fantastic. There were plenty heated boot warmers (that were turned on everyday so boots were always dry the following morning), plenty storage for skis and snowboards including a service bench and tools! The hotel run a free shuttle from 8:30am every 30 minutes until midday to Ciampinoi and Dantercepies which allowed for easy access to both the green and orange Sella Ronda routes. Ciampinoi is about 6-7 minute walk with ski boots so easy to get to if you would rather not wait for the shuttle. It’s only a 5 minute walk without ski boots so the hotels location is great.

The food was incredible! Breakfast was continental options including meats, cheeses, pastries, yoghurts etc and also hot options of boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. At 3pm there was freshly baked cakes in the bar area and you were allowed to take this back to your room if you preferred to eat it there. For dinner there was a salad buffet daily, a starter, a soup or pasta, main and desert. You mark your choice from the menu at breakfast. There was three choices of main (meat, fish and veggie) but they always had tomato spaghetti, spaghetti bolognaise, plain meat, schnitzel and omelet every day which was perfect for people like me who are quite fussy and prefer plainer food. The staff were incredibly accommodating to people’s dietary requirements. Once a week they have a gala dinner with a couple of little extras like canapés and welcome drink. There’s also a week desert buffet which was beautiful and a weekly Tyrolean evening.

Despite everything in the hotel being perfect, the best asset to the hotel are its staff. Everyone was so helpful, kind and professional. The hotel owner drove the shuttle bus in the morning to the lifts and it was lovely chatting to him about the history of the hotel and information about the local area. The hotel closed for the season the day we left but you wouldn’t have known. Everything was still up to the same standard as every other day.

I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and we will be back. A huge thank you to all of the staff at the hotel Armin for making our week in Val Gardena one to remember! We look forward to staying here again!

Nice and pleaseant ski holiday in Val Gardena / Selva. We stayed in the Armin on the main road in Selva.
+ Morning shuttle service to the ski lifts (Campinoi and Danterceppies) (you can walk uphill to Campinoi, if need be)
+ Very friendly service at this family owned hotel
+ We had half-board so everything functioned very smoothly with breakfast and dinner (and afternoon cake, for those who end the ski day a little bit earlier)
+ A comfortoble roomy ”superior” room, facing the street, corner view. I suppose there migh be sporadic street noise at night, but not really an issue for us. No balcony in this room. A very good sized bath in this room.
+ Well functioning ski / boot room. Boots were dry every morning.
+ Spa / wellness was ok with a small sauna, a small steam room etc. No swimming pool. Towels, bathrobe, slippers are provided by the hotel. If spa and swimming pool is important for you, perhaps consider other alternatives.
Official rating is 3 stars +. So, not a five star luxury hotel, but a very good option for a ski holiday with a service minded owner and at times gourmet standard dinners. Excellent wine list, with different price levels.

Would I stay here again? Yes, absolutely I would!

Booked this Hotel through Crystal Ski. From start to finish we had a really good experience of Hotel Armin. We already checked beforehand if there were kettle facilities in the room and there was not. So we took out own kettle and tea and the staff supplied us with cups and teaspoons. The rooms were cleaned very well whilst you were at breakfast so there was no rush to get out in the morning. Breakfast was good with a varied choice. The boot room was large enough and the ski bus to the lifts was well organised. Afternoon cake available from 1500 but you do have to pay for tea and coffee, however, you can take the cake to your room and make your own tea. The downstairs, sauna, thermo room, steam room and relaxation area was great for the end of the day. You do have to pay 5 Eu for the jacuzzi which is worth a go as you get about 18 mins. Evening meal was brilliant every night without fail. 5 courses of well presented and lovely food. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgable about wines and also the skiing areas to go to. We got a packed breakfast as we had an early start ..... if we ever go back we will definitely stay here again. So much nicer staying in a family run hotel.

We wanted a hotel fairly close to the town centre and ski lifts,
Hotel Armin is quite well located and a 5-8 mins walk to the nearest lift. The hotel itself was good, staff are welcoming and friendly and professional. Food was by and large also good with 5 courses for dinner. A few negatives, the three person room i shared with my ski buddy friends was very small, no tea or coffee making, or water. One bed was a sofa bed and the other was a double which we asked to separate and convert into two small beds around 5” apart - Not ideal for three blokes.

We were on half board with breakfast and evening meal.
Wine and even a cup of afternoon tea is extra, cake however was included post skiing

I was also there the month of August. However it was very relaxed at meal times and I occasionally wore shorts, and other guests wore walking trousers.

No casual wear/jeans are absolutely fine. The only occasion you may want to be a bit more dressed up is for the New Year Gala dinner but that is purely down to choice.
