The hotel is excellent, with a very good location. The rooms and bathrooms are large and clean. breakfast and dinner are very tasty. It is worth highlighting the excellent team, extremely kind and attentive. The hotel also offers bus tickets and outdoor activities.

We've just returned from a week hiking and mountain activities in Selva di val Gardena and we stayed at the wonderful Hotel Armin. This family run hotel has to be one of the best I've stayed in while on a walking holiday. The hotel and rooms were spotless, the management and staff couldn't have been more attentive, helpful, professional or friendly, we felt so at home. The hotel is right in the centre of Selva, with the town square and shops a minutes walk away. One of the main chairlifts is a five minute walk up the main high street and there is a large supermarket, again five minutes away behind the hotel. The food was sublime! high end restaurant quality, often interactive (smoked Mackerel under a bowl filled with woodsmoke) which was fun and stretched to six courses. If you didn't like any of the three main daily course offerings there were two alternatives as standard. We had a few unexpected surprises; • A FREE Bus pass supplied by the hotel for the whole week covering the Val Gardena area. • Tea and cake served at 3pm everyday. • And, the management, noticing it was my sons 21st birthday on our stay, made him a chocolate torte cake with candles and presented it to him after the evening meal with Happy Birthday music which all the guests sang along to, how's that for going above and beyond! This fabulous hotel is set in one of the most stunning places on earth, easily matching Yosemite for splendour but far more accessible and varied, a hikers and mountain activity paradise. If I could give Hotel Armin six stars I really would. Seriously, stay there!

Had a brilliant week-long experience at Hotel Armin in Selva last week. The staff were extremely friendly and always willing to go the extra mile (which they did when baking a birthday cake and singing for one of our party on his birthday without us even asking them to!). The food was delicious, perfect portion sizes for each course, well presented and varied every night of the week. I particularly enjoyed the beetroot and potato pasta and coffee creme brulee. Afternoon tea and cake served from 3:30pm was such a treat after a long day of walking in the mountains, and the access to the wellness area (sauna, steam room, aromatherapy shower etc) was a nice way to wind down before dinner. The rooms are well-sized, clean and the beds were super comfortable; extra pillows, slippers and robes as part of our 'wellness bag' made us feel very comfortable during our stay. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hotel Armin, so much so I am keen to book to stay during the ski season too!

This was our second stay at Hotel Armin, our first time was just so good, we couldn't wait to return. This is a lovely family run hotel which gets absolutely top marks from us for its service and friendliness. Without exception, every member of staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant and comfortable as it possibly could be. We'd particularly like to thank the kitchen and waiting staff for their attention to our vegan daughter, they carefully made sure at every meal that she had as wonderful a culinary experience as the rest of us (that's one of the reasons for our return) The hotel is welcoming, warm, clean and friendly, in a convenient location in the town. There's the option of a minibus lift in the mornings to either the Ciampinoi or Dantercipies gondola, it's a short walk home in the afternoon and ski and boot storage is great. There's free cake available in the bar from 3pm to 6pm each day - needless to say we spent quite a lot of time in the bar after skiing, mainly drinking aperol spritz! The five course dinners were amazing, and the buffet breakfasts were great. One of the things I love about ski holidays is that you can eat as much as you like without guilt because you expend so much energy on the slopes during the day! Definitely our favourite hotel in our favourite ski resort, we will be back

We stayed at the hotel Armin for 7 nights at the end of March. Everything about our stay was fantastic!! Check in was quick and easy. Our room was a nice size, with ample storage, comfortable bed, well equipped bathroom and free safe. There was also a spa bag with spa towel, dressing gown and slippers for use in the spa which was a very nice touch! The spa was quite small but had a steam room, hot sauna, warm sauna and aromatherapy shower all free of charge. The jacuzzi was an extra charge (I think around €5). The ski room was fantastic. There were plenty heated boot warmers (that were turned on everyday so boots were always dry the following morning), plenty storage for skis and snowboards including a service bench and tools! The hotel run a free shuttle from 8:30am every 30 minutes until midday to Ciampinoi and Dantercepies which allowed for easy access to both the green and orange Sella Ronda routes. Ciampinoi is about 6-7 minute walk with ski boots so easy to get to if you would rather not wait for the shuttle. It’s only a 5 minute walk without ski boots so the hotels location is great. The food was incredible! Breakfast was continental options including meats, cheeses, pastries, yoghurts etc and also hot options of boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. At 3pm there was freshly baked cakes in the bar area and you were allowed to take this back to your room if you preferred to eat it there. For dinner there was a salad buffet daily, a starter, a soup or pasta, main and desert. You mark your choice from the menu at breakfast. There was three choices of main (meat, fish and veggie) but they always had tomato spaghetti, spaghetti bolognaise, plain meat, schnitzel and omelet every day which was perfect for people like me who are quite fussy and prefer plainer food. The staff were incredibly accommodating to people’s dietary requirements. Once a week they have a gala dinner with a couple of little extras like canapés and welcome drink. There’s also a week desert buffet which was beautiful and a weekly Tyrolean evening. Despite everything in the hotel being perfect, the best asset to the hotel are its staff. Everyone was so helpful, kind and professional. The hotel owner drove the shuttle bus in the morning to the lifts and it was lovely chatting to him about the history of the hotel and information about the local area. The hotel closed for the season the day we left but you wouldn’t have known. Everything was still up to the same standard as every other day. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and we will be back. A huge thank you to all of the staff at the hotel Armin for making our week in Val Gardena one to remember! We look forward to staying here again!

Return visit to the Hotel Armin - comfortable room, very clean, attentive friendly staff with delicious food in a good location for both the Ciampinoi gondola/cable car and the village centre. Would recommend and hope to return.

We had a week’s sunny skiing holiday with my wife and daughter in Wolkenstein/ Selva at Hotel Armin and we really enjoyed every moment there. Upon arrival, we had a friendly and very informative reception at the front desk. Our rooms were very clean an spacious. The food at 5 courses dinner was excellent, well presented and with many choices; compliments to the chefs. The best Vitello tonnato I have ever had anywhere! I heard that Armin has a fabulous wine cellar, but we enjoyed the house white and red which were very good, too. The spa with two saunas was relaxing and very well maintained and cleaned. The staff at the front desk and at the bar and reastaurant were attentive, nice and polite. Everything 5 stars! The hotel is centrally located at the main street, a walking distance to Ciampinoi gondola. So you don’t necessarily need the shuttle minibus service that Armin offers, but it’s a good option. I don’t remember the name of the driver but he was very helpful and attentive when we used the shuttle bus many times to get to Dantercepies gondola. We enjoyed our 100% sunny week on the slopes, from Ortisei to Corvara, from Rodella to Marmolada etc., and we feel like coming back to Val Gardena soon.

Great hotel where the friendly staff really made a difference. You can almost ski back to the hotel, and there was a shuttle bus in the morning to save a 200m walk to the nearest lift. Food and service really good. Excellent base for winter skiing. Would recommend 😀

We stayed here for a week’s skiing and had a wonderful time. The hotel exceeded expectations with great food that was prepared with much attention to detail. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. For skiers who didn’t want the 200m walk to the nearest lift, there was a regular minibus service in the morning, and it was possible to ski most of the way back to the hotel from either side of the valley at the end of the day too. Recommend.

Just back from staying at the hotel Armin for a week. The hotel is lovely, spotlessly clean and well looked after but its the staff who make it much more special. Every member of staff we had contact with were amazing, so friendly and they couldn't do enough to make our stay fabulous. The food was beautiful and they were very happy to accommodate my fussy eater partner and me needing gluten free. There's a great morning shuttle to the slopes every half hour which is an added bonus. My only negative was that even though we turned all the heating off in our room it was still so warm we slept with the door onto the balcony open each evening and it's a busy, noisy road so I'd chose a room at the rear of the hotel if possible. Would definitely stay here again.
