Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Absolutely outstanding!. We have now stayed here 9 times & it is our absolute go to in Selva. The rooms are decorated & furnished to a high standard & are so comfortable. There is a fantastic spa area with steam room, Jacuzzi & sauna which is fabulous after a day skiing. The food is excellent with a large salad buffet each night before 3 other courses. The starter & main course are selected each morning, except on a Sunday when there is a 5 course Gala dinner. Breakfast is again buffet style with numerous cereals, meats, cheese, eggs, fruit, bread, pastries & cakes. . Nothing is too much for the staff who who are fantastic. The hotel is perfectly placed for easy access to the ski slops, either by a short 10 minute walk to the main ski lift or by accessing the bus stop outside the hotel. After a 5 minute journey, you get off & then ski down to the bottom of the Saslong lift.

Lovely hotel, could not fault anything! The food was fantastic, great selection every night and loved the salad bar. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel had the best spa area we have ever had the pleasure of using. Rooms were comfy and immaculately clean. Perfect hotel! We had an incredible holiday, thank you!

We stayed at Hotel La Pineta one week ago. We found everything to be fantastic to include the outstanding customer service, the cleanliness, the food, and the location. If you are coming here to ski or hike, or just to relax, this hotel will not disappoint. We loved everything, and especially getting to know our fellow guests as the week progressed. The location was excellent with the local bus service just steps away. Thanks to everyone for making our holiday such a wonderful experience.

Excellent food, nice rooms, great spa area (lovely dry sauna and foot spa). Food most nights had seconds and they were very welcome. Waiters were very nice, and spoke English well. The wifi was good in rooms but not the best in the bar but that was a minor detail that didn't hinder anything really. I will and have recommended this hotel and the resort and hope to come back maybe in the winter for skiing or again in the summer for hiking!

The location & facilities are fantastic, but most of all I'd like to say the people Elisa & mother & family were great to my wife & I. My wife had a bad accident on the slopes & the hotel went out of its way to make life as best they could for us The surrounding & skiing & the food is fabulous. Best by a mile. Thanks again to a wonderful family run hotel. Brian.

What a superb hotel, difficult to fault anything. Rooms very spacious, clean and tidy in typical Austrian style. Food was Superb, some authentic Italian dishes with plenty of choice served to a high standard. Drinks were very reasonable in price, excellently served by the bar man Francisco. SPA was enjoyed by all, small but modern and clean. The hotel was superbly run with very quiet and efficient staff, worked like clockwork. Don’t let the location put you off, it’s literally 10mins walk to the main ciampinol lift. This review was for a superb week in Selva end Feb 2022. The only issues we had were Crystal who were useless from beginning to end, but La Pineta made sure our holiday was top notch.

What joy to make our first ski holiday since Christmas 2019! We travelled again with Crystal who made the journey very straightforward with lots of information beforehand. Mask wearing is a small price to pay in Covid and the slopes were filled with dutiful skiers following the rules. La Pineta has lost none of its wonderful charm. Breakfasts are perfect for supplying cafeine & calories to get you through to lunch. Dinner is a treat and, for me, the highlight was the lamb cutlets! The wine list is not extensive but it does not need to be - there are superb wines here at very reasonable prices. Francesco in the bar provided glasses of refreshing Hugos and a Godfather after dinner. Skiing was great - blue skies almost every day - felt like Easter skiing in February! The shortcut through the trees straight to the hotel was great! What makes La Pineta special is that this is a family business not a corporate chain. The hotel may have 3 stars on the front - but the hospitality is faultless. The ambience is staying with friends - just listen to the guests sharing their experiences. How many hotels have a wall of postcards sent by grateful guests! None of this happens by accident and so a very big thankyou to everyone at La Pineta for your hard work!

This hotel is a 4 star, not 3 star. The rooms are fantastic, the facilities outstanding. The food is wonderful. The staff are brilliant. There is a lovely spa area with saunas and jacuzzi, foot baths and lounge areas. We have been here a few times and will return again. The ski area or walking area, if you prefer, is outstanding. There is a bus service outside the hotel. Christmas week is good as they have markets, ice sculptures and fun bars. The food in La Pineta is plentiful and delicious.

Our first visit to the Dolomites and what a revelation. Stayed at the lovely La Pineta where the benefits of a small family run hotel were felt from the moment we arrived. Rooms are spacious and well-maintained. Food is varied and hearty - perfect fuel for sliding down the surrounding mountains on skis. The wine list offers some modestly-priced interesting wines. Service has been excellent - (even making sandwiches for our trip home). The ski area has been a wonderful change from our usual diet of Val d’isere and Trois Vallees. I suspect we were spoilt with the weather - i recommend a dump of snow just before you arrive. Restaurants on the slopes are so much better than their French counterparts and we discovered a mid-morning glass of cheerfulness in fhe form of Bombardino (think alcoholic liquid custard in a glass). The infrequency of bus service has not been an issue and the ski home along the path is perfectly pleasant. Thank you for having us.
