This could be a nice hotel but the management or owner has been there so long it's not being run or maintained well. The room they gave us had no hot water in the shower. They then moved us to another room that had no AC. Other than that the rooms were fine. The owner and his desk staff were not very friendly. The breakfast was OK and the rest of the hotel staff were friendly. The location of the hotel was good. Would not return.
WE HAD ROOM 152.. This is right by the lift far too much noise. There is a shower but no holder on the wall , hand held only, poor for a lot of reasons. The room had nowhere to put anythingand was small.. Hanging rail only no wardrobe. safe was locked on arrival. The water was tepid to cold nearly all the time. Everytime we showered the hot was used but never the cold, a first for us. Breakfast was appalling. Stated to commence at 7.30 but items were only just being put out . The bread was nearly always stale see other recent review. The hot serving was scrambled egg that looked as if it had been cooked the night before and heated up. Poor overall choice far too many cakes making up the range. Seating outside is nice as was the welcome drink and eats. Evening food was acceptable, no more, and the wines were not overpriced.…
We booked our cycle tour through Freedom Treks in the UK. All the hotels were really lovely except for Hotel Clitunno . The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. The desk staff never greeted us as we passed or asked if everything was ok. We sat outside in the evening in the bar area and no one came to ask us what we wanted to drink. We decided not to eat in the hotel and found a wonderful restaurant nearby. Our room was ok but the shower completely soaked the bathroom floor and the hairdryer didn't work. Breakfast was very poor. The juice machine didn't work and the croissants were at least a day old - inedible. All the other hotels were so friendly and comfortable, so this one was really disappointing.
Everything is perfect the room is very clean and also the bathroom the breakfast is full..the receptionist are very kind and her owner. The hotel is in a good position if you want to go for a walk to town.!! Thank you very much for everything visit again spoletto!!!
We visited the hotel in mid-May. The weather was extremely wet. The room we were allocated was rather cramped and there was nowhere to dry our wet clothes and air our umbrellas. There was no wardrobe, just an open hanging area above the suitcase stand/chest of drawers. The safety deposit box wasn't secured to anyting so in my opinion was a waste. The bathroom was just adequate but the shower cubicle was very cramped. I'm not tall and definitely not overweight and I had great difficulty bending over in the shower to wash myself below the knees. It also took an absolute age for the hot water to find its' way to our room. I wasn't the only complainant about this. The space between the end of the bed and the wall was barely 750cm which I suppose is OK but the small TV was bolted to the wall here and I constantly knocked it as I passed by it. Very annoying. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and had tea making facilities. There was a very large window with a beautiful cherry tree outside which broke up the view of the rooftops below. As we weren't in our room very much and only stayed a few nights it was more of an aggravation than a big deal. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. In a nutshell, a great little hotel that could do with a decent overhaul to get rid of its' problems and very very tired look.…
