We stayed at LaMacchia for 2 nights - fell in love with the venue! Tucked away in the woods, our wonderful hosts were a loving, accommodating intergenerational family. We enjoyed a comfortable herb-named room with a spacious well-supplied bathroom, scented in lavender. The sounds of the rooster and donkey braying in the distance added to its charm! Breakfasts and dinners...

We stayed here for two nights as part of a cycling holiday. The staff here are amazing. All very helpful and caring. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast selection! The grounds (including pool) are gorgeous, we too loved hearing the donkeys and roosters. It is a little way out of Spoleto, but not too far if you have transport....

We stayed at la Macchia for 2 nights including dinners and breakfasts. We had a good size room, named rather than numbered, with exquisitely equipped shower room with lavender scented toiletries. Very clean and tidy with good air conditioning system as our room windows were over the restaurant. Superb service from a very helpful personnel in a domestic environment. Overall...

We stayed here two nights and found it an enjoyable stay. The room was clean and tidy and big enough, the staff were very accommodating and helped us with everything we asked. The location was handy for walk into Spoleto to see the Cathedral and castle. We had two dinners and two breakfasts, the dinners were local cuisine and lots...

We ate here a couple of times during our stay. The place is known locally as a pizzeria and from what we saw is extremely popular with the locals. All the food we had here was of excellent quality ~ the stand out being the wild boar ragu with tagliatelli and the pizza Norico made with local sausages and wild...

We spent two nights here and enjoyed our stay. It is a family-run business with the kids around and everyone helping out. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was nice with a view and the donkey braying and roosters welcoming the morning did make this a unique country experience. The food in the restaurant was homely and...

We stayed here during a cycling tour of Umbria. I'll admit that the approach after a long, hot day in the saddle was a little exhausting but well worth the effort. The hotel is in a lovely location just on the outskirts of Spoleto, surrounded by olive trees. The pool is very refreshing with a decent number of chairs &...

This is possibly the most tranquil and friendly countryside hotel anywhere in Italy. It is situated in countryside on the outskirts of Spoleto and a car is preferential although the real stars are the owners who are only too willing to help out with difficult transport problems. The atmosphere they create with their honest hospitality makes you feel as though...

Great location just a short distance by car from Spoleto centre. Clean and very comfy room. Bed was just great! Breakfast more than adequate. Owner let us in with the animals and donkeys so friendly. Lovely country views Pool slightly chilly but in hot August that is refreshing. Only thing that kept this from an excellent rating
