The hotel is shabby, outdated, not very clean in need of modernisation and renovation. Leaking tap, no "do not disturb sign', no shower gel/soap supply (you have to ask for it). Location by the sea and proximity to cafes and bars is probably the only good thing about this hotel.

A beautiful old building at far end of seafront and a nice view. With one of the most awesome old lifts I have seen anywhere. Stayed here for two nights on a whistle stop tour of Tuscany. Bathroom was badly small.

We stayed in Viareggio for 4 days. From the very first moment we felt very welcome and safe. The rooms were clean, the view was amazing - quiet and lovely. The breakfast buffet was really good (eggs, croissants, oats, cheese, tomatoes, fresh fruit, juice etc) I highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a beautiful hotel with good... More

We stayed here for four nights. Really pleasant owner who greets us n perfect English! ( long family history of hoteliers in Viareggio and UK.) Our room was on the busy side street and from the little balcony it also overlooked the main boulevard and consequently over the beach and sea. Not too noisy either. However, the fabulously ancient French... More

This is a beautiful old building with one of the most awesome old lifts I have seen anywhere. Regrettably we were here for only one night. The checkin was efficient and friendly. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was also large and clean. The beds were firm but comfortable. Great location for the promenade and the beach.... More

Stayed here for two nights on a whistle stop tour of Tuscany. Hotel was in a pleasant location at far end of seafront. 20 minute walk from railway station or accessible by taxi/ bus. Paid extra for a superior room with a small balcony and sea view. The hotel was quite traditional but dated. The room was quite small. Bed... More

Nice hotel, well located. We got an offer on booking.com, last room available. Got the Tiarè, more of a courtesy room, still nicely decorated and somehow spacious. Only issue the toilet: while clean, it had a fake window giving on an internal air duct, not the best of views. Amenities are poor too (hence 4/5). If you rent s bike,... More

This hotel is located near the beach (just accrooss the street). There is no restaurant (just a breakfast room) but a small hotel bar. The hotel is nice refurbished and in good condition. You pay 3-star, you get 3-star. I read some of the comments of others, but to be honest, if you want more comfort pay for it ;-)... More

Super location, within the city, next to the beach. Charming seccession style within the hotel, the furniture, elevator, breakfast room etc, that is in harmony with Viareggio. Good value for money for those who enjoy original style and feeling.
