Don't use this hotel. Busy road and very noisy. The size of rooms and bathrooms is OK, but very outdated and not very clean. But the worst of all is a breakfast - bad breakfast and the room full of flies. You can find much better hotels in the area.

I was at hotel gargano for one week (july) with my family (my wife and two kids 11 and 13). I found the hotel very good in terms of price quality ratio (not excellent quality in itself but perfect compared with the price). the food is excellent and I would rate it a 4 stars hotel for the food. the service was very good and the beach and the sea very nice.Do not expect a new infrastructure and do not expect a great animation. The hotel has a shuttle service included in the price which will transfer you from the hotel to vieste (a very nice and typical small village 15 minutes away). If you are looking for a nice location for a family with kids and an excellent italian food (with a lot of traditional dishes well presented) this is the right place to stay.

Dont go here if you have any intention of relaxing or sleeping during your stay. This is not the usual "oh my Italian hotel was noisy" post. I understand to expect a little noise in Italy; it's a social country with lots of social buzz, but this was horrendous. First, all the doors are weighted to slam shut every time a person comes and go. All day and night long "bam" "bam". This was on top of the screaming in the halls by a large youth group. (The same pushy and loud group nearly knocked me over at the salad bar at dinner). Finally, I arrived back after a long dinner and walk in the villiage hoping to collapse into bed...but there was blasting salsa music from directly behind the hotel. This went on well into the night. When I asked to switch to the front of the hotel, I was told there wasn't another room. When asked to turn it down, the DJ refused and the hotel management didn't enforce it. The music continued. The minimum I expect in a hotel is to be able to sleep. This hotel provided more of a night club/youth camp full of screaming kids experience. Gargano only has a few rooms with views and doesnt have much charm. Plus It's right on a busy road which you have to cross to get to the beach. I recommend one of the cute hotels in the old part of the villiage. They have lots of character- and don't worry about the noise in the villiage. People there eventually go to sleep.…
