I at least twice a month visit with my family Terme dei Papi. Thermal swimming pool is very relaxing and there are fantastic restaurants within the Complex. Today we decided to rest in Nicola IV hotel. I may call this hotel boutique. Spacious room and bath room. In addition you receive entrance to pool, thermal grote, and vascular procedure. I almost forgot in addition to the breakfast you will have diner. I should do this once a month.
Perfect if you want to visit Terme dei Papi - the spa. You are on the premises. Good rooms, but mine was meant for small Italians. Could barely fit into the shower which was stuck into a tiny tub. Clean, well kept, nice staff, good food. Wi-fi that rarely worked. Noise due to construction in neighboring rooms two of the days. Could not rest. Not the place to go unless you go for the spa.
Let us begin with saying that the entire terme dei paps is organized mostly for day visitors and public spa treatments. Yes the pool is very large but there are hundreds of people in it and they are not from the hotel. The hotel is quite small, a bit dated and overpriced. They pay no attention to the guest and if you check out later the 12 pm they make you pay for late check out even if it is a few hours and even if they have no incoming guests. You really get the feeling they could care less. In addition it is overpriced for what they offer. The common areas near the pool are worn and need a major face lift. Technically a part of the pool is reserved for hotel guests. Practically the day visitors go over the rope and are everywhere! If you want to spend a lovely time at a spa hotel in Viterbo go to Salus…
Lovely place to relax with the family mid week! No beds available but it is August! Really beautiful afternoon with our two year old daughter grand parents and friends And her 12 year old son! The water is invigorating. Parking is easy and entry is 1/2 price for under 12's! The bar is next to the water and they have snacks you can buy all day.
We stayed at the Niccolò V hotel, part of the Terme dei Papi, and had an excellent experience. We stayed for two nights at the Suite Oro, with an ample terrace and ax external Jacuzzi that used water from the Terme. Great place, incredible staff, including the piano player.
