Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed her for one night 5th August 2022. Great twin room, reasonably priced and very comfortable. Celia was an excellent host. Delicious breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. We would certainly recommend - 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you

We had a great stay at By The Bay Bed and Breakfast. We only stayed one night, but wish we had been there longer. The property’s hosts are very friendly and gracious. They’ll make you just about whatever you could possibly want for breakfast. The room was super clean - not one atom of dust anywhere. Cruden Bay is a picturesque little town and worth a visit by itself. From the bed and breakfast, you can walk to the town’s beach and to Slains Castle. Also, for those into craft beer, note that Brewdog headquarters, which includes a tap room/restaurant, is located less than 20 minutes away in Ellon. We’d stay here again if we ever make it back to the area.

Sandy and Celia have created a wonderful B&B in this lovely little resort. Room although a little on the small side was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. My wife would have appreciated a mirror for hair and makeup though. Ensuite was equally impressive. They have put a lot of thought into this accommodation and deserve to succeed. Breakfast was also very good. Would have no hesitation in returning.

I booked this last minute due to work. I hate staying in hotels as always noisy so try look for a B&B with good reviews. I was not disappointed. The 2 owners are lovely friendly people who treat you like a friend and make sure your stay is a great one. I honestly loved my stay here. The rooms are INCREDIBLE. Finished to a high standard - everything they could think of to make the room cosy and comfortable - they have done it. Even lovely Scottish china mugs - that made a difference to me as did the mini fridge filled with bottled water (no charge). The bedding is excellent quality and the bed .............the owner asked me what time I would like breakfast - I told her that I hadnt slept properly in weeks so I will probably be up and away very early.............well I slept like a log and was still there at 830am for breakfast!! The bed is so comfy - you dont hear a sound - its heaven! Breakfast is fresh and cooked to order - the dining room is lovely and my tea was served up in a silver teapot! Loved it! The place is absolutely SPOTLESS - you really will love it here. Even though this was a business trip I will be returning on a personal trip. I have told my family and friends - we have all wasted our money on staying in a B&B or hotel thats had problems - you wont have any problems here - you will love it!

Fantastic B&B , immaculately clean..Great hosts and lovely breakfast included. We stayed in the non ensuite room but beautiful bathroom right next door which we had exclusive use of, so still felt like an ensuite. Highly recommend this B&B in Cruden Bay.

Small family run, but recently done up B&B in the quaint Cruden bay. Ideal for golfers heading to the exquisite bay, good walk to Slains castle along the coast or a dip in the local beach. decent breakfast and not very exorbitant. Not too many rooms and good to check on facilities available for all rooms.

Visited for golf and found all as it should be (but not all of rooms are en-suite so do check). Limited range of dining options within walking distance and with Scotland's strict drink drive rules this is a factor to consider if staying for some while.

Lovely small BnB run by local couple. Good location, excellent hosts, great breakfasts. Good walks along beach and to Slains Castle nearby. Great value for money and would definitely recommend this establishment for anyone visiting the area for golf or other pursuits.
