The food is very tasy with a plentiful menu. Nice variety of dishes. Large portions of goid food, didn't have room for a pudding. Lovely cosy lounge/bar with friendly, attentive helpful staff. Could not fault a thing!

Well where do I start!. Firstly, location, location location. What a beautiful place Cruden Bay is and the beach is one of the best you will find in the Country (and it is a two minute walk when you stay here). The family room we stayed in was welcoming, large and well equipped. Ideal. The Staff (and Owners) of the Hotel are first class, you get a great welcome and very well looked after for the duration of your stay. Food and breakfasts are superb also (you won't need lunch!). Locals friendly in the bar (there is also a separate lounge bar for meals etc). A special mention for the log burners that are in both the main lounge bar and reception so a great place to go out of summer (ideal for a cosy drink after a bracing October walk on the beach). Didn't bring my golf Clubs but should have done and will do when we return here again. Cruden Bay is right up there and I would recommend you check the website (we walked round it many times). Stop searching and just book here if you are considering it. You won't regret it.…

The Kilmarnock Arms Hotel is a nice place to stay in the Cruden Bay area. The lounge and restaurant food is very good. It is an easy walk from the hotel to Spain’s Castle, which provided Bram Stoker some inspiration when writing Dracula (which in did in part when staying at the Kilmarnock Arms). It is a very good place to stay.

Lucy and the staff here were absolutely wonderful! The room was very comfortable and the food (especially the breakfast) was delicious! We enjoyed playing golf at Cruden Bay Golf Club which was a short 2 minute drive down the road. The beach is also very nice to relax at. We felt like we could unplug and truly enjoy our experience here for our honeymoon. Also, the Slains Castle was AMAZING and right down the road from the hotel! 10/10 recommend staying here!!! :) - Harry and Lyss

Kilmarnock Arms was the perfect place for us to base ourselves while golfing at Cruden Bay and exploring the surrounding areas such as Slains Castle. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely wonderful every morning as we were greeted with smiles and delicious food. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There was even a bathtub which is a huge plus on cold rainy days. The pub has a large selection of local whiskys and gins and the staff was very knowledgable and accommodating. We will certainly come back and tell all of our friends! 10/10.

We came for lunch the staff was attentive and jokey the food was beautiful and plentiful and it was reasonably priced we will definitely be back. The whiskey sauce for the haggis bonbons were so morish and I even tried a dessert but my eyes were bigger than my stomach and by that point I could eat no more

We often come here on a Sunday for dinner (if we can get a table). Lovely relaxed old vibes, particularly when the fire is lit in the winter. Feels like you could be in a living room. Food is always homemade and plentiful! The goats cheese bonbons are to die for. All of the waitresses are lovely too.

Visited for both lunch and dinner during a visit to Cruden Bay. Food was spectacular - good menu choice, large portions and the quality was superb. The game casserole with neeps and haggis was a delight. Staff were also welcoming and friendly.

Fantastic food, and service as always. Living locally we are lucky to have The Killie on our doorstep. The food is always the best quality and the service is always excellent with friendly staff. Price wise we feel its reasonable for the high standard of quality and is similar with other restaurants in the area. It's a relaxed atmosphere and cosy when the fire is on! We've been customers for 7 years now, and will continue to be.
