Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A clean and spacious lodge in lovely private surroundings with walks for the dogs on the doorstep. The lodge was clean and well equipped with everything you needed . The bathroom was modern and bright with a good shower. Our bed was comfortable and the bedding was good quality. Vincent was very helpful and accommodating.

Hidden gem of a place, I have stayed in loads of log cabins, on arrival the place was lovely clean spacious and has everything you needed. Towels were provided and a welcome pack with tea coffee and creme and sugar, the outside cabin was immaculate also, it was peaceful quiet and the fact you have loads of walks on the door and do not have to drive everywhere was brilliant, I will definitely be back, you also have your own little back garden with a bench and a washing line, also there is a cabin over the road that has books games grill and dryer, will defo be back, I can recommend this to everyone peace quiet wonderful location clean cabins inside and out

Just come back from our first stay at Lochletter lodges and can honestly say we would definitely return. Communication with Vincent was very good before and on arrival. The lodge was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed apart from a hairdryer (having forgotten our own ) but wasn't a problem. The forest walks are right next to the lodges and ideal for the dogs . Plenty to do round and about as the lodges are just a short drive from Loch Ness .Thank you for a lovely stay and we will be returning and have recommended it to family and friends .

A fabulous place, very discreet and tranquil. Lodges are impeccable and extremely well separated so lots of privacy. Ideally located so everywhere within a reasonable travelling distance. We have been staying here every year for a long time and highly recommended.

We stayed in Glomach Lodge which is an accessible lodge. The location was fabulous, and the size ideal for up to 4 guests (1 double and 2 single beds). We could walk our dogs from the door, cycle from the door, and swim in the loch only 5 minutes walk away. Loch Ness was 4 miles away with café 82 Drumnadrochit - best coffee and breakfast in town, except for Loch Ness Inn (turn right past Esso garage in Drumnadrichit). Also best evening food in town. The organic farm next to the lodge, grew and sold freshly picked blueberries which were divine. Getting to interesting sites was easy with many places within a 60 minute drive. Vincent the host was friendly and responsive when we had a question or needed support when the WIFI went down, and our TV stopped working. All were resolved - in fact he replaced the TV. The aspects that disappointed were the beds - very uncomfortable. Our duvet covers were tired and without buttons so the duvets slipped out over night. The kitchen equipment is basic. We expected a little more for a self-catering lodge - e.g. a slow cooker, and 2nd fying pan, so meat eaters and veggies can be catered for simultaneously. The dials had all rubbed off the oven, so we needed to refer to a photograph of what they should be (not a big problem). We took our own picnic BBQ, Alexa, DVDs and books for the evening and recommend the same to others - DVDS are provided but many are dated. The weather was on the chilly side when we were there in August so sitting outside was not always possible. Would we go again? Yes it is a beautiful spot - no doubt about it. But for us we would want the mattress situation addressed. Everything else is manageable, and it would be hard not to have a good time here. Our score is based on the fact that also own a cabin we make available to holiday makers elsewhere in the UK. We know what we provide for similar £, in terms of cabin appointment and facilities.

First time to this part of Scotland and the Lochletter Lodges were ideal for touring around Loch Ness and the Highlands. Quiet location surrounded by beautiful scenery and occasional visits from the wildlife. We had the 2 bed Glomach Lodge which offered plenty space and was well equipped. Owner Vincent helpful and pleasant to deal with. After a day of sightseeing, coming back to the lodge and the peacefulness, ensured you relaxed. Even borrowed from the DVD library to watch never seen films. Put your feet up and relax.

A long awaited 7 nights at Lochletter Lodges for our two families to celebrate New Year, cancelled last year due to restrictions. The lodges are very comfortable and in the perfect location for walking or relaxing, or visiting near by beauty spots such as Glen Affric. Vincent, the owner, is very helpful and very pleasant to deal with. We can't wait to return again this December.

We have just returned back from another fantastic week at Lochletter Lodges. Set in an idyllic location just a few miles from Drumnadrochit and the banks of Loch Ness, these lodges are a real hidden gem and are ideal for either exploring the Scottish Highlands or just enjoying a peaceful break. Inverness and Fort William are both within easy reach by car however if you prefer to stay closer to base, Drumnadrochit has an ample number of pubs, restaurants, take aways and grocery shops. The lodges are Surrounded by fantastic scenery and there are plenty of walks nearby to explore. This was a perfect stay for our family and our 2 dogs. Guisachan lodge was spacious and offered all the home comforts needed for a fantastic self catering break. The owner, Vincent, is a pleasure to deal with and is more than happy to offer any help and advice you may need about the local area.
