The rooms used to be a stables, it's an authentic little pieces of the country Weather wasn't great, so we didn't get a wonderful view of the Downs - but I'm sure in a clear day it's a wonderful spot. Restaurant food was on point - breakfast was amazing. And the hosts were genuine warm people wanting you to have a great stay.

We were due to stay here on that weekend but had to change plans. We had a lovely meal on the Friday evening and enjoyed a complimentary G&T with Chris. The staff were helpful and engaging and the pub is set in glorious Sussex countryside. We will definitely return and will book a room.

We had my daughters wedding here on 26/9 for 30 guest and it was all arranged within 6 weeks. We told them what we wanted and they certainly delivered. The food was out of this world, the best we’ve ever had , everyone said that they had never had such tasty food which was mouth watering. The staff were brilliant and so attentive and with all that’s was going on with Covid everything seemed so normal... obviously they had masks on and kept their distance and served us at the table but we didn’t want for anything . We had a marquee adjacent to the restaurant and there was beautiful seating outside . This was such a fantastic place to have the wedding, it all went well on such short notice ... this just goes to show how professional they were . Chris & Ryan the owners and their staff were excellent and catered for everything we needed to make this such a special day . The hotel also have 6 rooms on the grounds outside which are stunning with excellent views and surroundings. All our guest said that the venue, staff and food was the best that they had experienced at any wedding... it also had a lot to do with the staff and owners . We will certainly be going back for a weekend. …

A chef who know what he’s doing. Everything was delicious, well executed and beautifully presented. Stylish and relaxed environment with great service from start to finish. Also reassuringly careful thought processes for Covid precautions. Would absolutely recommend The White Horse.
