Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This is a very nice campsite near the river. You can walk into town into about 20 minutes, or you could rent a bike at the site. The toilet/washroom facilties are very genrous, and really, really(!) spotless. The owners Vicky and Mike are very nice and helpful people. They even lent us a pair of drive-on wedges to level out our camping car.
We can really recommend the spot and will surely come back one day.

This was our third visit to Camping La Pointe and we continue to enjoy the wonderful campsite. Mike and Vikki work so hard to maitain everything to a very high standard including the new Covid procedures. It's a peaceful site with excellent walks direct to the countryside and canal. The local town of Chateaulin has all you need for a visit, we also hired a car from the local supermarket and headed to the Crozon peninsula which is stunning. We enjoyed the crepe night and were also lucky to see an otter in the canal along with kingfishers. We hope to return again.

Stayed for a week in July. The site is beautifully kept by the owners Mike and Vicki The shower and toilet block is immaculate and each pitch has masses of room. Had a great Crepe evening with food and drinks served at a very reasonable price. The site is within easy walking distance of Chateaulin along the river. Plenty of towns and pretty villages nearby to explore. We will return!

It's the loviest campsite. A real oasis of calm and peacefulness with a babbling stream running down one side. A lovely place to come back to after a day out. It's a very well manicured site with good sized pitches and spotless facilities. We went with our children aged 8 and 10. They enjoyed the small play area, games room and feeding the resident chickens. Would highly recommend this campsite.

A beautiful site with an abundance of mature trees which makes for great privacy for pitches. Owls hoot at night and otherwise it’s very tranquil. Wash block clean and excellent. Welcoming hosts. Wonderful crepe night, utterly delicious. The adjacent canal is stunning, there are some lovely walks/runs from the campsite. Chateaulin is great, gorgeous patisseries and historic bridges. Close to beaches, Crozon peninsula and Roscoff/north coast of Brittany. Can’t wait to return.

We have just returned from a fantastic 10 nights camping at La Pointe. Vikki and Mike are very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are excellent and well looked after. Our son loved playing table tennis in the games room. The pitches are spacious and we had a lovely pitch in the woodland, which gave welcome shade during this heat wave. The river nearby is beautiful and it is very easy to walk along it to the shops and restaurants in Chateaulin. We had a brilliant time and will definitely return!

Small quiet campsite in a glen/cutting between the trees. Very well run by the owners. Low commercials. Fresh tomatoes available from their garden. Facilities very clean. Great for cyclists on the Nantes canal, tents, touring vans and caravans. Only down side is the range onthe wifi, although it’s free near the office.
Chateau line is a lovely town to be based in. Kayak or swim in the river. The local creperies are great. The tabacs, and Restaurant’s also very good and not over priced. We will return here.

It is hard to exaggerate on the beauty of this site. We enjoyed the abundant flowers, lots of space, and calm atmosphere. This is not a place for party animals, but the place to be to explore the coast and inland of Finistère, away from the tourist crowds. We happily recommend staying here!

Totally stumbled across this place when looking for somewhere to stay in March. We wanted peace and quiet, away from any water parks etc. It ticked every box. Set in beautiful scenery against the national park this place is very special. The hosts Julie and Marcus could not have been more pleasant and made our stay enjoyable and stress free. They have both worked very hard to make La Pointe a success and sharing it with them is a fantastic experience.
The website is also great - lovely to have a UK version with an abundance of information.
A very wonderful place and one we will undoubtedly come back to for years to come.
