We had the whole area to ourselves with the job. Thoroughly superb service, fantastic location and a unique experience. This was the second time we were up here and Gomobu helps to show Norway at its best. I hope we get the opportunity again in the future.

Gomobu is a large mountain hotel with both regular guestrooms and separate appartements located on the premises around the main building. We stayed in one of the appartements and had breakfast and dinner in the hotel. Our appartement had full kitchen facilities, with large fridge and dishwasher. Bath with shower and wc and one separate wc. Everything was nice and clean and fresh. The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent (dinner really gourmand) and the service was top. Gomobu is ideally located for walks in the mountain, both summer and winter. Located at around 1000 meter above the sea, the terrain around Gomobu is quite flat. The area can be recommended for people who abstain from extreme sporting of every kind, but who likes to be outside and enjoy the nature. On foot or skis or bicycle. The Wi-Fi did not work properly, but the management would fix it ASAP.

Hotel located in nature. This is a ski resort (langlauf) and so in summer not much to do except walking. The hotel can be reached via a private toll road. There are some things to do in the village below (museum, lake), and every time you return by car to the hotel you have to pay toll… very strange that as a hotel guest you can t avoid this. The hotel is a bit old fashioned Rooms are decent size, ok bed, nice sofa and chairs, not much power outlets free though. No fridge, no safe. One closet, Bathroom small, good walk in shower, small sink, little space to put things, no hairdryer, only one big box of soap, nothing else. So not much amenities. So overall the room is a bit of a letdown. Breakfast was good Nice family hotel for those who like the tranquility.

Hotel nicely located in the Norwegian mountains. When we arrived, the extra beds (sofa beds) were not ready. Just bedclothes thrown on the couch. Unengaged staff on arrival. The room is small with a reasonable standard, room cleaning could have been better.
Nice morningstaff did the best for making a good breakfast, which I thought they succeeded in considering the circumstances.

The cabin was well equipped except for microwave, but the issue was the surrounding, it was far from the city situated in ugly land(bold area with no trees and ugly looking yellow-brown grass) no view, no river or lake You need to pay toll each time to you cross tge street, they charge extra money for cleaning and bedsheets!

A bit old room, a bit pricey but good breakfast. Nice nature around but keep in mind this is a ski resort so summertime can be a bit "plane" You need to pay at a toll booth to be able to get to the hotel so thats 40kr extra.

I had a good experience here. But a bit annoyed that expedia mentions nothing about bringing your own blankets for the bed. And the first that meets you when entering the cabin was a not saying that you had to pay if you did not wash when leaving.
I did not pay for the washing, but ended up paying for duvet/blankets.
Location is really good and a perfect start for many hiking trails.
If going with a dog ask for a stand alone cabin since the apartment cabins have much noise between the apartments. Specially if your dog is noise sensitive.

Stayed for one night. Nice people running this place. Rooms are clean and tidy. Could have had more power outlets in the room though, only had one that was free. The dinner was an outstanding buffet, consisting of excellent local products. Location is also perfect for exploring this part of Valdres.
