We arrived to welcoming hosts, tea and cakes, then shown to huge warm bedrooms with sparkling bathrooms. The house is very well appointed with great qwerky touches. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Fabulous!

We spent one night at this lovely B&B in September. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and there was a cosy lounge. The food at the B&B was excellent. We booked dinner and the food was superb and beautifully presented. The B&B is a bit of a walk to the nearest pub and in the current COVID situation, opening times vary but, as already mentioned, Salmon Landings does offer dinner and you can bring your own wine. Breakfast was also lovely, with lots of choice. The hosts, Julie and Kevan, were really friendly, as was Bramble the bloodhound. A really nice touch was tea and cake on arrival. The B&B also has a lovely garden with great views to Orkney (but sadly not the day we were there as it was raining). It was a shame we only had one night here, and would love to return at some point to enjoy the lovely surroundings - and catch up with Bramble!

Many thanks for that kind review, it was a joy to have you stay. In these difficult times with Covid rearing its frights around every corner we hope for better times to come back so we can all be more social 'in person' so to speak. However, in the meantime we can only hope to keep everyone as safe as possible, and our spirits high as possible.... even in the rain. Take care and we hope you will find the time to come back at sometime in the future when the sun is shining, the sea is calm, and our steps are built to the cove. Kind regards Julie and Kevan

We stayed here recently for 2 nights, just wonderful. The hosts, Julie & Kevan were extremely welcoming, very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the area for walks etc,
Our room, Muckle Flugga was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and a lovely bathroom. WiFi is very good and plenty plugpoints. There is no bar/ table licence but they welcome you to take your own wine etc to dinner - and will chill it too. We had dinner each evening, food was very good, tasty and very well presented. Breakfast was made to order and delicious.
Nothing was too much trouble and we would definitely return if back in the area. Thank you both so much Julie & Kevan.

The couple who own the guesthouse are wonderful as is the guesthouse itself full of unusual and quirky objects. The view from the bottom of the garden is one of the best we have seen and a great advert for Salmon Landings. A pair of binoculars are provided under the bench to look at the wildlife and across to Dounreay.
Our room was again lovely and full of quirky objects to look at.
They provide evening meals which Is a bonus as the local eatery was closed, I had Salmon with Bramble, their bloodhound who is adorable looking at me through the window.

Hope we may see you again in the future. Take good care of each other J and K

From the minute we arrived we felt welcomed and were shown our room in a friendly and pleasant manner. Our bedroom was a good size and the furnishings were comfortable and relaxing and decorated to a high standard. The bathroom was nice and the shower was powerful enough. We slept well and felt relaxed. The décor throughout the downstairs rooms was beautiful and quirky and we loved having breakfast with a stunning view and having the plants around us. It was so relaxing that we could have sat there for hours. The use of the garden is welcomed and there are steps leading down to a breathtaking view of the sea. This is one of the most beautiful B&Bs we have stayed in. The hosts were both very friendly and we loved meeting their dog, which we requested. Thank you for a fantastic stay, we were very sorry it was just for one night.

Stayed here for 1 night whilst doing the NC500. Chose it for it's position and great reviews, which were spot on. Hosts were lovely and welcoming. Loved the fact that they had done the place up themselves and it was full of personal touches e.g artwork & artifacts from their travels and lovely tableware. Fab little walks from there down to secluded coves. Amazing wild scenery. It was very isolated ( part of it's charm), so make sure you have a good lunch as nowhere nearby was open in the evening on the day we stayed. Also this was the start of our midgie experience so take plenty of repellent for outside ( no problem inside) ! This was definitely the most personal place we stayed in and one the helped make our trip very special. Also excellent value for money. Highly recommended :) Kate & Phil

Booked this accommodation by pictures & reviews online but both didn’t prepare me & my mum for how lovely it was . The location was something else . We thought we got lost as our sat nav was playing up but made it even better when we found it. Very warm welcome from our host Julie. Very homely and the decor was extremely interesting. The room itself was very cozy , comfortable and spotless. In the morning we met Kevin ( again extremely friendly, chatty & very helpful ) Bramble was just waking up so didn’t get a chance to clap him but admired him from afar- magnificent animal.

I could not fault this accommodation, it ticked all my boxes and I wish I could stay in it for every night of my trip. I look forward to being back and I can’t thank Kevin & Julie for their hospitality & I will certainly be back

Salmon Landings is an absolute highlight and can only be recommended when you travel the North Coast of Scotland. The hosts Julie and Kevin are always friendly and very helpful. The room was perfect and the breakfasts outstanding. And the views absolutely superb - even from our table in the dining room. If we will come back to the area, we will most definitely stay again at Salmon Landings.
And last but not least: it is a great base for trips in the area like Castle of Mey, Dunnet Head or John o‘Groats and Duncansby Head

Four of us stayed there in Sep 20 when cycling Land's End to John O'Groats. This was easily the best accommodation we stayed out. Fantastic views over the coast. Just when you think things can't get any better, you walk into the house - so much thought has been given to the decor throughout - it's outstanding. The owners couldn't do enough for us, very nice. Evening meal and breakfast was a pleasure, again, so much attention to detail. Rooms were perfect, not cheap, but well worth money. I would stay there again in a heart beat.

Hi, Thank you for your interest in Salmon Landings. Children under the age are 5 are not allowed but your children are well over that age limit therefore we happily will take them. Please be aware we are a 'cliffe edge' location, and a small guest house, all we are concerned about is a) the safety of your children and b) that they do not disturb other guests. You will find our web site salmonlandings com, and from there you can book if you are having trouble with booking com. Many thanks for your enquiry and we look forward hopefully to seeing you.
