I can't praise the Strathy Inn enough. The hosts, Craig and heather, a lovely, friendly, welcoming, helpful, nothing-is-a bother couple. The whole building is immaculate, spotless, very comfortable bed, mentioned because I rarely sleep well in strange beds. The food, quality ingredients, skilfully and tastefully prepared, another special mention to the delicious, dry-cured thick bacon rashers that accompanied the substantial breakfast. The location is perfect for a Highlands tour stop-over. All at a very reasonable cost, So, well done, thank you,

Stayed in horrific weather - arriving at The Strathy Inn was very welcome! Unfortunately the bar was closed due to covid, but Craig and Heather ensured we were able to buy some beers and they made sure we were well fed and watered. I got the feeling that Craig and Heather were doing their very best in pandemic's awful circumstances. My room was clean and comfortable, the food was excellent and homely. My only complaint is that the car park has 6 inches of gravel - impossible for motorcycles! Motorcyclists be warned!

Room 2 is huge with a separate equally large bathroom, like a suite room. Very clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Would definitely recommend on the nc500 route! Great location too for an evening walk to the coast!

We were just looking for somewhere to break our whistle stop tour of NC500 and got very lucky choosing the Strathy Inn. Craig met us at the door and explained all the arrangements. I had run very low on petrol and Craig had a rummage around in his garage to see if could find any. No luck but he lent me a petrol can so I was prepared for the game of service station roulette I was about to play ( I won😅). Dinner was excellent, everything freshly cooked to order by Craig and Heather and really reasonably priced. They have made enormous efforts to overcome the Covid restrictions and ot was a perfect stopover. There is quite a bit to do in the area and it would be a good base for a longer stay. Breakfast was also spot on, the rooms were spotless and Craig gave us a lot of really good tips about what to see and what to avoid. These guys are providing a really good service in difficult circumstances - give them your support - you won’t regret it.

Very clean accommodation, good facilities and excellent food. Heather and Craig where very welcoming. Location is a short drive and walk from Strathy Point and Craig passed on his knowledge for places to visit along our route. If you have the food the home made Cheesecake is highly recommended.
