We were looking for a one night stopover which was reasonably close to Scrabster where we were catching a ferry to Orkney. The Strathy Inn proved to be the perfect place as we were able to book an evening home cooked meal as well as Breakfast both of which were of a very high standard. The Inns restaurant area was...

We were greated with the warmest smile and open welcome. The rooms were fresh, clean and compfortable and the breakfast was great. The Inn is walking distance to one of...

My fiancee and I enjoyed a simple yet tasty three course meal here during our trip around the NC500. The inn is situated next to the beautiful Strathy beach (we recommend a swim before coming to the inn to thaw) and the owners are welcoming and helpful.

We stayed here one night in the double ensuite. The room was very comfortable, warm and cosy as well as being quiet. Craig and Heather who run the inn were friendly and helpful, with Craig giving us useful information about places to go even as far as Perth plus he recommended my husband some great Highland whiskeys to try whilst...

Stayed one night while touring the north coast. very nice hosts. Excellent location on side of road and out in the quiet countryside. Main noise I heard in the morning while out walking was the roar of the waves from the nearby beach. Also explored the caves at end of the beach. the food was excellent. Most of it is...

I stayed for two nights in a nice double room in this small, cosy inn. As it was low season, I was the only guest. The couple owning and running the place were very accommodating. The waited for me on the evening of my arrival as I battled my way in the car through blizzards on snow-covered single track roads,...

It was 8:30 in the evening, everywhere was full and they were our last hope. They didn't have a room so the owner then phoned around on our behalf and organised a room via his network. He kept the kitchen open so we could have meal.

We were very pleased to find the Strathy Inn whilst cycling the North Coast 500 route. The owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Our room on the ground floor was clean, quiet and very reasonably priced. Our tandem was stored over-night in a locked shed. We had a good meal in the bar in the evening and...

When you are travelling in the very north of Scotland & islands you quickly appreciate how few people, inns, restaurants etc there are.....but you are there for the scenery quiet and lack of people etc. We wanted a base for four nights to explore the area , including the Orkneys. Ok , the Strathy Inn is somewhat tired and could...
