This is my third stay in Marcialla and I find this place still charming and relaxing. This time I had the lovely bedroom with the four poster bed: huge bed, lovely furnishing, bathroom on the small side but perfectly adequate. This year there was the addition of the pool (called "vasca ornamentale") that look lovely in the garden (weather however...

My wife and I spent two nights at the aptly named 'Charming Villa'. Lots of character, charming host and in a delightful village in the heart of some beautiful countryside. Simone gave easy-to-follow directions to get there by car. Enjoyed the swimming pool on two hot days.

I and my boyfriend visited Marcialla for a couple of days and stayed in this fantastic place. It is amazing to stay in place with such an old and great history! This is entirely restored building and it has its charm. The rooms are spacious and occupied with lots of restored furniture. We also had a chance to enjoy the...

I had the most wonderful stay in the beautiful Tuscan Villa. Forget mass minimalistic living and go back to Imperial Tuscany!!!! The bedrooms are nicely furnished and mine had a glorious 4 poster bed, and the bedroom was cosy and snug. The bathroom is a bit on the small side but had everything you need. Breakfast in the bedroom is...

My husband and I and our two children had the most amazing week in Tuscany. We stayed on the Giannozzi farm, but Simone (a most kind and helpful host) invited us to his Villa for a real Tuscan Feast beyond compare. We sat at the table with fellow travellers from around the world, while he treated us to his own...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Charming Villa Marcialla is a fifteenth century private villa in the centre of the small village of Marcialla, in the heart of the Chianti hills only 30 minutes by car from Florence, Siena and San Gimignano. It offers large rooms ideal for all kinds of events, a beautiful, characteristic kitchen with a large functioning fireplace, a paved stone courtyard and a delightful Italian-styled garden, which is fenced off in a shady area. The garden is of eighteenth century design and very romantic. Guests may visit the underground historical wine cellars and have the chance to taste the farm’s finest quality wines. One can experience ‘living’ in a large villa which is both impressive but at the same time cosy and comfortable. We offer our guests 4 large double bedrooms and suites, each one different from the other; each with eighteenth century furniture and private bathroom. We serve breakfast either directly to your room or, in summer, in the shady Italian garden. You have private parking. You have free use of the open air swimming pool ( with beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside) located 1,5 Km away at our agritourism. There is free Wifi in the area outside the buildings, in the suites and in some of the apartments. ... more   less
