Very old historic hotel in centre of the town. parking can be right outside if arriving late and lucky to find a spot or just behind the building in nearby park approx. 10 min walk spacious rooms - helpful front office staff. lovely old town with great choices of cafes and restaurants and so picturesque. well worth a visit

We are a family of 4. We stayed at this hotel for one night. That was a very remarkable stay for us for a few reasons: We enjoyed the room, the breakfast in the courtyard, the smile of the lady who accepted us, and for one reason more which was very exicting and uncommon: We found out the morning after... A very pretty hotel in the heart of Obernai. Pros: Well located; car park situated behind the hotel; continental breakfast okay; pretty courtyard in which to eat breakfast; good size family bedroom with separate area for children. Cons: no lifts or air con - rooms stiflingly hot.

My wife and I stayed one night here on a motoring tour around Europe. The hotel is very attractive with a central courtyard (presumably where horses and carriages arrived in days gone by) and rooms around the courtyard on three floors. Our room was on the third floor with a view over the old walls. The hotel is right in... More

The best thing about Hotel le Gouverneur is the location, it is set in the heart of Obernai which is such a magical town. The hotel has nice clean bedrooms with good facilities. The only thing lacking is the internet can be dodgy but it does still work on the most part so definitely not a reason not to stay... More

Set in a 16th century building in the heart of the center of Obernai, this hotel makes and excellent base for exploring this part of Alsace. The room was large and the beds comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water for my morning shower. With all of the travelling I do, this is a very important factor! We stayed... More

We spent a great couple of days in this amazing old building that has been completely refurbished to accommodate modern requirements. Brilliantly situated in the old town with its own parking area. We were able to visit the local sites on foot and enjoy the local cuisine and wine easily.

We stayed here as part of a group tour and were happy with their choice. The hotel is part of the city ramparts and has a big courtyard with the rooms arranged around it. Our room was huge and the beds comfortable and the view pleasant. We were able to open the windows, what a plus! The only quibble I... More

This is a lovely old building that has all rooms around a central courtyard. There is no lift but the staff help with heavy luggage. The dining area is small and the interior lounge is small too. In summer you can sit in the courtyard. Rooms are named after local places and all are furnished in different ways. Our room... More

Room was large and clean, very good shower and breakfast was excellent lovely little town with plenty of shops. We stayed whilst on a tour to Strasbourg and the European parliament. Felt safe following the Paris shooting as the police and army were on every corner.
