such a cute little property, in a secluded spot but just minutes from the centre. Wendy and David are lovely hosts, very friendly and made us feel at home immediately. We enjoyed a bottle of wine from the honesty bar sitting on the terrace watching birds and squirrels come and go, so peaceful. We asked for advice regarding the local castles and villages and were given a little map with their recommendations, which were spot on. Thankyou, hope to see you again, Adele

Very well situated B&B on the edge of the historical centre of Sarlat, one of France’s most famous beautiful villages( easy, walking distance from centre). The owners(British) are absolutely charming , and helpful in every possible way( suggestions for visiting the area, booking tickets for entries, organising local restaurants etc) Their breakfasts are superb, with a special twist each morning! The atmosphere they established for all guests contributed greatly to the enjoyment. They even collected us from Souillac Railway station( 30 mins away)

My wife found this gem via Tripadvisor with 5 stars across the board. We figured it must be a nice place to rate so high. We were not wrong! We stayed at Sarlat from October 22, 2019 to October 26, 2019 accompanied by two friends of ours. As this was our first trip to the Dordogne region of France, we wanted a nice place to hang our hat at night, yet still be located in such a way as to make it easy for day excursions to the towns and “plus beau villages” that were nearby. Let me tell you that Jardin du Sarlat was perfect for what we wanted! The owners of this B&B are a British couple named David and Wendy. I couldn’t help but start thinking of Wendy as the “Lady of Sarlat” after I met her. So warm, friendly and gracious. David is both a work horse and great cook (he helped carry our bags and cooked breakfast every morning), but can provide a wealth of local information if you need it. David is also quite funny and has even written a book that you can get on Amazon for around $5 US. It is titled, “A Garden in Sarlat.” It tells the story of how they came to find and purchase Jardin and their early days in the B&B. I read it in a single sitting, so it isn’t lengthy, but it sure was full of interesting history about the B&B with lots of humorous stories. I recommend it, for sure! Dave and Wendy welcomed us with open arms and a glass of wine. After the drive from Carcassonne, it was just what we needed. The B&B is perfectly situated in the town of Sarlat so that we never had to drive anywhere in town! The center of town is within easy walking distance and Sarlat is full of good restaurant!. It is somewhat hidden really, like a place out of time, being somewhat old, surrounded by a lush garden and is furnished beautifully inside. Staying at Le Jardin Sarlat was a wonderful place to end this excursion into the Dordogne region. We know it won’t be our last! Thank you Dave and Wendy!

We don't often stay in BNBs but after the hospitality we received from Wendy and David, we are converts. They are wonderful hosts who go out of their way to ensure you get the most out of your stay, whether its by feeding you up with delicious breakfasts to get you through the day or by offering ideas about exploring the area or by sitting on the veranda over a wine or beer or two and sharing their knowledge. They made us feel as though their home was our home and we looked forward to coming back each day and discussing our adventures with them(over another wine or two!) Le Jardin is a gorgeous old house in a beautiful garden setting. It is super clean, comfortable, welcoming and in a perfect location for either walking into town or exploring the magnificent Dordogne region. We loved every minute of our stay and felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends when we were leaving. Thanks David and Wendy!
