We've just returned from a 2 week stay at Ametza. One of the best campsites we have ever stayed on. Really well maintained and green. Huge pitch with clean, private facilities. Wonderful team running all areas of the site. Super helpful and very kind and patient with our language skills and total lack of basque! All of the team went out of the way to make our kids feel welcome. Location is fabulous for days out in both France and Spain. Highly recommend!

Lovely for families in a great area with nice facilities and really friendly team. Fun animation programme with lovely animators. Clean, lifeguarded pool area with parasols. Good for visiting little towns in Spain and France.

Very good place, very friendly owner and employees. Lovely taste pizza. Private sanitare (WC/ Basin/ shower/) without additional price. The area was very clean. Everyday they clean the sanitare room. Only neg. the next market is approx. 5km far away. But isn‘t the problem of CP

Perfect for families, clean, luxery, not too big and friendly camping at a great location. We will go back. Even due to the COVID-19 restictions, it was arranged really good and the people who work there, did everything to make the stay as pleasent as possible.

We have a good weekend in The camping Ametza. The measures against Covid19 in The camping are very good, the place is very nice and The staff too. And Hendaya’s beach is beautiful and very very large.

We’ve just returned from a week long stay and really enjoyed our time there. Campsite was clean with good facilities and nice pitches. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There were lots of activities going on and we joined in the pétanque completion. Great fun. The pizzas were great from the restaurant and reasonably priced. The site is a 5 min walk down to Hendaye and it’s lovely beach and a 15 min walk back up the hill. We took our bikes and there’s a great cycle path along the front and into the town. Caught the train to San Sebastián from Hendaye, really easy. They leave every 30 mins and cost 5 euros return, a total bargain! The last train back is at 10:45pm so lots of time for sight seeing and pintos and drinks in the old town. Also caught the ferry over to Hondarribia quite a bit, they’re every 15 mins and 2 euros per crossing. You must visit and have a walk around the old town but also see if you can find the three escalators that take you up from the main part of the town, very strange but easier than walking up the hill. The beach isn’t as nice as Hendaye’s but if your a veggie check out the El Curry Verde cafe in the harbour at Hondarribia. Overall had a fantastic week on this lovely site in a great area of France. We will definitely love to return in the future. …

Fabulous stay here in peak season. Super clean and well-looked after. We stayed in a Camp Etoile which was so much fun and perfect for us and two teenage boys. Lots of space to run around and the facilities were great - big pool, friendly yummy restaurant, shuttle bus to beach. It's a really handy spot for excursions to Hondarribia - walk down to harbour and catch bus back up home after dinner.

The camp site with friendly staff is nicely located on a 15 minute walk from the beach in Hendaye. The beach closest to the camp site is the less busy beach. When you check-in you receive an armband which allows you to take the bus to the main beach of Hendaye. The camp site is well organized withe small hedges between places where trees provide shade. Ametza has a nice restaurant with pizza and a 'plate du jour'. Additionally a small grocery store is available where bread can be ordered for the next day. The nice swimmingpool is guarded and has long chairs and umbrellas for shade. I want to mention specifically the nice plants/flowers and trees in the camp site which are well maintained and look beautiful. Showers and toilets are cleaned very frequently.

Spent 5 nights in our camper van. Very friendly welcome; could nt do more to ensure we had a pitch we were happy with. Beautifully kept green pitches though quite open. This wad fine for us ad we had the benefit of space without being overlooked as there were few people here- in high season it would not be very private. Showers and toilets ok but not as pristine or well thought out as other sites of this price. Lovely pool but didn't open till 10am . We pick sites with good pools for early morning swimming. Too late for me! Internet intermittent ant unreliable- again, for the price, not on. The main negative is the proximity to the road which is noisy. However it didn't disturb us at night as if feared Luckily, but it never felt peaceful in the day. Downhill to beach- 10 mins( longer to get back!) Hendaye's main draw and well situated to tour round if you wish. Very pleasant but the niggles meant not 5 star. …

My second visit to Ametza & an excellent site run by friendly staff Sadly there was a 36 hour storm & getting out was almost impossible The camp shop & restaurant were both closed I had to go hungry !
