Very good first impression, as it was a hotel that was actually open in France! The hotel was located in the centre of Oloron, yet was easily accessible, and there was no problem parking. The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We had originally planned to stay in Jaca Spain but there was a cycle race the following morning so we had to press on beyond this, everywhere was shut apart from Hotel Bristol, the lady was more than helpful and checked us in. The rooms are basic with no air-con or WiFi but it was great for a stopover, had...

I didn't stay here, but dined in the restaurant one mid-week evening with a friend. This place was one of the few serving dinner in town and seemed very popular. I chose from the set menu (19 Euros ??) and an excellent very plentiful 4 course meal arrived. Great value wine and friendly service topped off a great meal.

This town is dead in the evening. The only decent restaurant is hotel Bristol. Good table h'ote menu. Local wine for €10 a bottle. Almost too much on the plates. What's not to like? €50 for a 4 course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine us a good deal! No problem with service either.

This place is perhaps not very modern, a bit dated really, and the restaurant lacks natural light, but the food is very good and the lunch menu excellent value - usually about 13 euros for the set lunch (four courses). It is very popular with all the locals, the food is fresh and the steak and chips are great. It...

I'm not usually moved to write reviews but felt I had to counter the previous review by Elroy. His review nearly put us off from staying here but as all others were full it was our final option. The hotel is fine! And in no way a flop house. The brasserie is popular with the locals and the food was...

We popped into this hotel to enquire on availability of a room for one night. We were shown a room which was up a set of stairs, another set of stairs, another set of stairs......etc The room was awful with old dated furniture and Lino on the floor. I am sorry to say but it looked like a "flop house"'...

I had been there last year and thought I'd go again. Oloron doesnt have many places to chose from on a Monday evening.. Once again, I haven't been disappointed! Menu 18euros. Garbure to start with, goat cheese salad for entree, faux-filet as main (huge and delicious!! Gutted I was too full to finish it...) and nice local cheese to end...

Had lunch here during our stay in the area. After a somewhat reserved start, the staff turned out to be very friendly. The restaurant is fairly unprepossessing to look at. Fairly standard French bistro type cuisine served at a very fair price.

Always busy with locals this brassiere style restaurant of this hotel is efficiently run by various, friendly members of the owners family ( and one or two others). The 4 course 13 euros menu represents the most incredible value for money- homemade Garbure Soup, followed by salad/omelette/pate, then choice of dish of the day/steak/lomo (spanish spiced pork) served with potatoes,...
