The Villa du Parc is perfectly located in Angeles-Gazost. Even with the windows open, it is a quiet street. Views of the Pyrenees are beautiful. We stayed in the Laveden room. It was actually a suite with a sitting room, an updated bath with amazing shower and bedroom. Agnes and Patrick provide a delicious breakfast. We were fortunate to be able to enjoy dinner on 3 nights of our 4 night stay. The courses were beautifully presented and the food was completely regional in origin. The location to Gavernie and Lourdes is a bonus. We would recommend staying at La Villa du Parc for several nights.
Lovely warm welcome from the wonderful hosts. Motorcycle friendly, very comfortable room and bed. Plenty of information about the area, and lots of advice. Plentiful breakfast of which most was made from the fruits in the garden. We will definitely be back 😎✌️
This is a beautiful, grand old house, set in immaculate gardens on the outskirts of Argeles-Gazost. I chose it because it was it listed no.1 in Tripadvisor for B&B's, and we like to stay in smaller venues while on holidays - but like our comfort too! With that in mind, I had reserved the Lavendin suite, as it was one of the bigger rooms. Unfortunately when we were there, it was in the middle of the really hot season this year. The Lavendin suite is on the top floor, - with small attic style windows. The heat at night was really claustrophobic. While you could leave windows open, - it really didnt make a difference in those conditions. I understand the weather was exceptionally hot, but my feeling is that (as heat rises) this room would probably be uncomfortably hot in summer months. (I appreciate this may not be an issue for everyone - but it certainly is for us, and really impacted our quality of sleep). We stayed our very late most nights, so we returned to the room for a minimum amount of time. I think the addition of a fan, and perhaps cotton bedlinen (as opposed to the warmer fabric) would help in the circumstances. It is a beautiful clean B&B, and Patrick and Agnes are very helpful hosts, but it just did not suit our needs.…
This grand old mansion has the right touch of renovations to make you feel you are back in the hay days of the late 19th and early 20th century spa life. Clean, well appointed bedrooms (great shower in the Lavedan suite)...cosy breakfast room... views of the mountains all around. Large yard for outdoor relaxation, and super quiet nights. The owners, Agnes and Patrick were absolutely charming and most accommodating without being obtrusive. Breakfast fare was all homemade including delicious yogurts and fantastic bread and jams. A great stay to be repeated if we pass by Argeles-Gazost again.
We stayed in the Eugenie Suite which has two adjoining rooms so perfect for us and our two young children. We liked the quiet location alongside the town park and close to the thermal baths. The guest house is dignified 'old French' in the best possible way but equally suitable and welcoming for families. We had been camping the week prior so this was our treat and it lived up to expectations. Patrick and Agnes were very helpful and our boys are still talking about the homemade breakfasts.
