Any month from April to October (this year), we’ve now visited the Métairie nine times, always with the same pleasure of feeling at home in Clare’s and Mark’s exquisitely decorated Quercynoise. If it’s any indication of the Métairie’s attraction, we’ve often met at dinner other repeat visitors from various countries, well-seasoned travellers who had, over the years, tried other places... We picked this B&B from TripAdvisor, but didn't realise that we were looking at more than a B&B. The actual B&B experience was worth it just on it's own - everything was excellent - but the real joy was in the dinner provided (should you wish it) every night. We agreed to having the dinner in-house on the first night... More

We arrived after a long hot drive to a very friendly welcome. Within moments we were sitting in a shady part of the garden overlooking an amazing view with a cool wine or beer in our hands. The great service didn't stop there. The evening meal was what you would expect from a 5 star restaurant. We have a Michelin... More

We spent two nights in this very peaceful Chambres D'hote in September. The location is very peaceful and rural. yet close to the town of Gourdon and some great caves with prehistoric wall paintings. Our room was large, with a very good size shower room.Very well decorated with a good attention to detail and sparkling clean! Every thing had been thought of... More

We couldn't wait to visit Clare and Mark again, plus Bramley the dog. We weren't disappointed, as we had 3 superb days with them. As usual, their welcome is second to none and you feel so at home in wonderful surroundings. And, of course, there is Mark's amazing cooking which is complemented by Clare's calm, discreet service. We stayed in... More

We had two wonderful days with beautifully presented and wonderfully tasty meals. Location convenient to many sites (caves and Rocamadour). Highly recommend and definitely would go back if in the region.

I have lived in Toulouse for the last 28 years, so I understand value for money in France. I had a short stay to meet my friends who were also staying there. We had a great time, very friendly service in excellent surroundings. Great food, all reasonably priced. I'll be going back!

The location is quiet and charming. The rooms were very elegant and perfectly clean. But all that was part of a very friendly welcome. The dinner was near a 3 star michelin restaurant: Perfect presentation and excellent taste. We liked everything!

Everything at the Newton's shows they pay the utmost attention to every and the smallest details, be it in the rooms or at the table. Breakfasts are very good, dinners not only can seriously compete with the very best restaurants, but are way beyond anything we've seen in terms of price. To be recommended without hesitation. (Not to mention the... More

What a wonderful B&B. Personal, peaceful, and picturesque. We had been travelling for most of the day, arrived at the B&B where we relaxed straight away with a lovely glass of rose & and fabulous view. The evening meal was outstanding, certainly award worthy! The breakfast was simply but delicious and our hosts, Clare and Mark, couldn't have made us... More
