This is a phenomenal family business. Not only is the ambience homely, the whole place is fresh and clean. Restaurant is to die for and the food and service beats any Michelinism. Wine list is outstanding. Literally, an iconic find. Worth a trip to Gourdon on its own.

As we have done on the previous two Cycle-the-Dordogne cycling tours, we finished our trip with a night at La Hostellerie de la Bouraine. Again, Monsieur Larcom excelled with a great room and great wine and Madame Larcom with fantastic food. I still have lovely dreams about the cheese board!! We had an early train the next morning so had... More

We spend two nights here in this charming hotel. What was really special was the helpfulness of the wonderful proprietor. I mislaid my passport on the last evening and the proprietor spent a lot of his valuable time searching the hotel very late at night to help me find it. Eventually to everyone's relief we eventually found it. It is... More

We had a delightful, spacious room, really for practical purposes a suite, for our family, on the top floor with sweeping views of the old town and the churches. Super attentive service. Great. The restaurant is also very nice.

Charming hotel, excellent food and service. Dinners were particularly good, recommend you try the fabulous soufflé - is worth the wait! Lovely and spacious room, we would highly recommend the larger size. Close to the local market and easy walking distance from the train station.

M. Lacam is an attentive and obliging host; loved the spacious rooms with a lovely view of the town (Gourdon) and trees (eg.room 15). Breakfast was plentiful and delicious (great muffins); dinner was fantastic: great service, at least 600 different wines on the menu makes choosing difficult but it's an education! Good, quiet position. A great place for us to... More

Our cycle tour of the Dordogne started and finished in the Medieval Town of Gourdon, SW France. Our hotel was close to the historic ring road and a slightly long hike up the hill from the station. I suggest a short taxi ride rather than destroying your suitcase wheels dragging your luggage up the hill. This little three star hotel... More

We started and finished a biking trip through the Dordogne at the Hostellerie de la Bouriane. It is a charming hotel, with comfortable and large rooms. Free wifi is available and our room had a minibar (which actually had reasonable prices). Dinner in the restaurant was really excellent, with great service. Breakfast in the morning was generous and delicious too.... More

Hostellerie de la Bouriane is a nice little hotel, so don't be put off by my review title. The hotel is comfortable, well decorated, clean and well-run. There is, however, a strange mix of old and new that doesn't quite work. While the owners have tried (and spent a lot of money) to make this a 'modern' hotel, it's not... More

We started our cycling trip from here and finished our tour a week later back in Gourdon. The hotel was absolutely excellent. The rooms were very comfortable with all usual amenities. The food and service in the beautifully appointed restaurant were superb. Would recommend and will stay again if we are back in this region.
