I and my wife chose to stay on island for experience and decide to stay this hotel 1 night on the bay-view room. This hotel is in one of the best location in Mont st michel and has a well-management restaurant. However, we still think that bay-view room was a bit overpriced.

We had a great experience here. The room overlooking the bay was spacious and clean. We chose the half-board option and it was a wonderful deal. The food was delicious, and we were able to enjoy the island once the streams of tourists had left for the day. This you can't do unless you stay overnight somewhere. We highly recommend...

Even in this very touristy location, l'Hotel du Gueslin Restaurant has excellent quality food and the value, variety and freshness of their Seafood Platter is top grade. Mussels a la crème appetizer is a meal in itself. Fish entrees, lamb choices are great. Staff will treat you like Mont Saint-Michel relatives, they are very attentive no matter how busy the...

We arrived late at Mont St Michel and, on the off chance, dropped in to see if there were free rooms. I'm so glad we did. As other reviewers have said, staying at night when the crowds have gone is just magical. Entrance to the hotel from the street is not particularly prepossessing but overlook that and enjoy the rest...

We chose this hotel because we wanted to experience staying on the Island and viewing the tide when it came in. The rooms are very small that face the Abbey - clean, but old linens with bedspreads. Being a travel agent and having traveled the World, I knew ahead what to expect so was not disappointed. You have very few...

Visited the Mont St Michel today Magical Visiting for the second time since Mont St Michel became an Island again. Not that convinced with the new shuttle service. Not enough shuttles and far too slow. Sunny day made it ok. We landed for lunch in the Hotel du Gesclin From the main street on the right. The basement is not...

The same family has owned the Hotel du Guesclin since 1938; parents and adult children help out. 2 keys were needed to access this room and an exterior door as it was one level up from an exterior public walkway that extends along the bay side of the island. So its a little quirky but friendly. We were able to...

If you want to try something different from the really touristic menus, you must come here. Nice staff, great view of the bay and really well done food! Oysters, mussels and meat as well! All served with good wine! Only one word: suggested! Check it out!

The decor here is terrible - it seems stuck in the 1980's - but if you can see past all the pink and frills, the location is excellent (we had a great view of the incoming tide), the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the host is very friendly and accommodating. We decided against half board and went a la...

We recently stayed at the hotel and had dinner there. Mont-Saint-Michel is very small and doesn't require more than 2-3 hours. We arrived at 5pm and checked into the hotel. It's very dated and the room was very basic, which is not unusual for European hotels in this price range. However, my mother woke up in the morning to approx....
