One does not enter by the front flight of stone stairs but by a lesser flight at the back, catching a glimpse of the outdoor pool as one does so. The reception was crisp and...

Well position for Puy du Fou (20 minutes down the road) Very old french chateau with english owner. A bit rough around the edges but that gives it character. Helpful and friendly staff. We stayed in the Colonial Suite , ideal for family of 4 .. joining rooms. Restaurant was excellent , fine for kids. Swimming pool was warm if...

On driving up through the woods, we were excited - it was so pretty and the castle looked like a proper fairy tale castle - as promised to our daughter. There was just one lady there but she was helpful and polite. We had the top room - do not book it if you are not fully able - it...

We were put on the top floor with a lovely view and a huge room with a nice bathroom. The pool area was pleasant as the weather was good but the green appearance of the water put us...

We picked this place from a picture, at the local tourism office, after a 5 hour drive from Paris with jetlag. The rooms weren't perfect but had character. At check in, the owner asked if we wanted to have dinner at their restaurant, we were totally exhausted, but obliged anyway. We got there at 7, and we were the only...

“Top floor is a long way up - 4 flights of stairs with no lift. It was hot and it was not particularly hot weather despite being August. Great views though.”
