Located a little back from the busy waterfront, this is a very welcoming hotel. We dined in the garden at the rear of the hotel. The lush planting, the fish ponds and the blue sky made for a really pleasant setting. The restaurant offers both fixed price menus and a la carte. We chose the a two course fixed price... More

This is where I have been coming back past ten years. Never disappointing in any way. Above all is the friendliest service one can imagine. Location is good in between St Nazaire and LaBoule. Rooms are OK, food is good and lobby extremely cosy.

Seven of us stayed for four nights. This gave us a good opportunity to explore Pornichet and the surrounding area, and the Sud Bretagne is a splendid base from which to do this. The rooms range in comfort and decor, but the style overall is quite idiosyncratic - nautical themed, a bit shabby-chic, very French. The hotel is comfortable with... More

We had dined at this hotel many times in the past when we had our boat moored in the excellent marina in Pornichet, France. So we knew the food would be good. I always wanted to stay here because I love the inspirational design style. A huge sink made of spode like china outside the restrooms, and french farmhouse style... More

Upon Arrival you park directly in front of the hotel off the main road. The hotel has a Old Boutique look about it and when entering that is what you get with its mixture of furniture, open fire and games room. The reception was informal and politely efficient with the access to the rooms via the narrow and slightly steep... More

We have been using this hotel since 2000 for many business trips. It is an absolutely fantastic hotel. Every room is different and you can feel the love that the Owners have put into it. Would never consider another hotel in the area.

Quirky (in a good way) little room. Very friendly staff. Beautiful little garden area at the back. Would definitely stay here again if we come to La Baule again. Only slight niggle was that we got a room with at twin bed as opposed to a double.

From the moment I entered the hotel and was met by the owner I knew this was going to be a good stay. The hotel looks as if it has just been refurbished and has such a friendly feel. We were transiting a motor vessel to Portugal from the UK and Pornichet was a stop off on the way. A lovely little town with excellent marina. We walked around the town for a short time and came across the Sud Bretange. The price was excellent so we decided to stay! The location was great, close to restaurants and a... More
