Had 1 week with Alfresco holidays. Stayed in a Da Vinci which had 3 bedrooms, seperate toilet and shower and kitchen. All of us found sleeping difficult as very hot during the night. The site was busier than we expected and therefoe the pool areas to busy to feel safe in during these times of covid. We did use the quieter pool twice on quieter occasions. Bar area is nice and clean and staff all friendly and pleasant. They make sure you are wearing a mask when moving around inside. We used the takeaway on site mostly for ease and the food here was good and the process of ordering and been given a buzzer to tell you when your food was ready is great. Great supermarket right next to the complex selling everthing you need at good prices.
We had two weeks here and snuck it in before the quarantine announcement, which was great. We had a Comfort Vista, which had three bedrooms and a very large deck. We brought our own sheets and felt very cosy and right at home. The beds were comfy although when it got into the 30's was very hot. Mostly temps were in the 20's when we were there by I can imagine two weeks in the 30's would be stifling. The kitchen was great and had all needed to cook and the large U supermarket with a special access to the site was great and we went everyday, sometimes twice. It has everything and all the food you would ever want. Everything in France tastes good! The pool was crowded at times and needed to be there at 10 for sunbeds but beach is only 500m away. Best part about the Vendee for kids is all the activities. We did horse back riding just up the road, went to the Feeling Forest for zip wires, hired bikes just next door for beautiful cycling around the area, did Quad biking and went to Atlantic Tobaggon waterpark twice. We didn't eat outside the ground once and enjoyed the pizzas from La Cuisine when we didn't cook ourselves. The bar was great, if a bit pricey. The ice cream was amazing. Face masks indoors, but we were hardly indoors only to get beers and ice cream and once sat down you can take them off. The Wifi is awful here but we had a fantastic holiday!…
Well the site itself is great but the bar staff are bloody rude.spend alot ofmoney in the daily and no respect at all from the staff. Pints pulled short and no smile or gratitude from them miserable staff what a bunch of miserable staff
As a family of 5 with a 13,5 and 3 year old, we really enjoyed our stay here. We booked through Homair, shop around, Eurocamps caravans are much older and more expensive than the other companies on site. Our caravan was modern, 2 bedrooms, be aware there's no BBQ or oven! If I were to book again, I'd go for a 3 bedroom for the extra space. Also, no kettle. But it was clean and modern, but basic with a good amount of privacy. The pool is great, didn't get too busy, maybe because not so many people are travelling. We hired bikes for 4 days, which was just lovely.
We camped here it was August 35+ degrees, hotter than hell, there's everything that you need for entertainment it's a great c as mpsite we loved it. The facilities were verg clean and well maintained. There's loads to do in the surrounding area, a great supermarket on the doorstep beach within walking distance. Only problem we had was of our own making we bought a cool box instead of a fridge it was way too hot couldn't keep anything cool. We'll know better for next year. We will definitely be returning.
