the hotel is located in the heart of Martigues, you can walk from here to everywhere, which is fantastic. the hotel is so cozy, so beautifull, retro, is like being at your aunties home, with all the imperfections as well. but anyway I loved it

As you travel around France, it becomes apparent that over the years the country has produced some great artists, designers and artisans. I think it's safe to say that the guy who did the tiling in my room at the Hotel 5 isn't one of them. Don't let that put you off though - this a basic, functional, good-priced clean... More

Not too far from the airport and away from the busy places. Location is pretty good and off street parking was nice, but unfortunately the gate did not work so it was not secure. No elevator, so walking up the flights of stairs. Which is no issue unless you have a heavy bag. Friendly staff. Close to downtown area with... More

I was here for two nights in June. The hotel is basic, but it's very clean and it has everything you need for a short stay. The key distributor system at the entrance was new for me, but easy to use and it saved us time, because we arrived during the lunch, when everyting is closed if possible. :)). I... More

Just as enjoyable as last time (November 2015). A different room at the rear of the hotel on the top floor suited us as it was very quiet. The friendly staff looked after us superbly, especially Frederic. Although the facilities are basic, it represents excellent value for money. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family.

A very pleasant stay, made more pleasurable because of the attention and generosity of staff. It's the first time we have had a room containing both the bed and bath. At least the toilet was separate. But, you get what you pay for and the room was perfectly adequate for us.

Two friends and I visited in April 2015. The rooms are basic but decorated in a simple charming way. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and genuine experience. At breakfast one morning one of the guys ran to the local bakery and bought us pain au chocolat. A very relaxed enjoyable break and very affordable.

This is definitely not a place to stay with infant, especially if you need to carry baby buggy on the 3rd floor every time. Room is tiny no bath, only shower, no closet, just a shelf with few hangers. Overall it's ok for the singles, or family with grownup kids. Good thing that it's close to the historic center, but... This hotel is a lovely little gem in Martigues, it's in a great location as it is only 5 minutes walk from restaurants and bars. The hotel room was really simple and tasteful and the aircon was a welcome relief from the 37 degree C heat. I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back.

We stayed at this hotel in July 2013. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel is functional, very good value and in an excellent location for visiting Martigue or even further afield - the Camargue is a mere 30 min drive. The room was furnished with bright new furniture and appeared very clean. The bathroom is modern and... More
