Two consecutive visits in different adjacent weather conditions. Exceedingly convenient and motel like structure. Car by the window parked like a horse. Staff helpful but a bit on the overpricing as a policy for book at hoc. Decent basic breakfast. All activities at ground level. Placed in room for disabled because the electronic key issued was not functional was a good alternative bathroom-wise. Some street noise from the "cow-boy" yard, "horses" traffic. Reminded us of Australian minisculized hotel installations.

So after paying Switzerland prices, I booked this hotel for one night before an early travel day. I was not expecting luxury, we just wanted a place to sleep. However, there was a slight odor of urine in our bathroom. If we had been there for more than 10 hours I would have requested to change rooms. I found this hotel after searching for an airport hotel. Please be sure to book the hotel shuttle service, because there are no Ubers (possibly because of crossing the border). The shuttle had 7 seats and picked up at another hotel so I am not sure what would have happened if we had not assessed the Uber situation the night before our flight. We were fortunate to be able to secure three spots. The shuttle was there on time and got to the airport quickly. The hotel is a bargain for the area and the breakfast looked plentiful (though we left so early we did not eat)

Used this chalet type of hotel near to Geneva Airport which seems to be used by tradesmen working in the area. Was comfortable and located very near to Ferney Voltaire which was accesible on foot. Large retail area and supermarket within ten minute walk and would recommend for travellers with more han 1 night stay.

This hotel will charge you again for your stay, even though you paid through a booking agency. The rooms are smelly (humidity, waste water) and noisy.
Food is ok, but does not match the menu.
Staff is OK.

I staid there one night in June 2011 to take an early flight out of Geneva airport. I thought it would be cheaper than staying in Geneva. I had check that there were buses from the French village where the hotel sits (Ferney-Voltaire). So when I arrived I enquired with the receptionist where to find the bus stop. She told me point blank "Sir, there is only one bus per hour". I took it for granted, although I was surprised. "But I can book a taxi for you, if you want". And she insisted "shall I do it right now?". Only the next morning did I realize what this actually meant. She had called in a Swiss taxi that drove me to the Swiss side of the airport (a trip 2 km longer) and charged me 29 CHF (for a trip of 4 km or so) which he converted at the ludicrous rate of 1 Euro = 1.10 CHF (when banks in the airport then applied 1.17). Besides, I later checked: there are a bus from Ferney-Voltaire to the airport every 30 mn, and a local taxi (as opposed to a Swiss one) charges only 20 CHF. Who's taking advantage of the clients here? I sent an email to the Campanile website asking for an explanation and got no response. I am asking again what's going on there?

Reviewed the Campanile last year but just back from 3 nights there again. It's still great value for the area & staff as helpful as ever. A few points I may have miss last year, no English speaking channel on TV so the high speed free wi-fi came in very handy for Netflix! If you are attending an event in the Palexpo next to Geneva airport you can avail of to local bus, No. 66, be aware driver does not take cash, you can use many, but not all, credit cards or purchase ticked at some stops.

Although the accommodation is motel style with rooms leading directly from the parking lot, the rooms were modern and clean. I found the staff helpful although the location is in the middle of no where. You need a car or to take a taxi if you dont like walking to public transport. You can walk about 15 minutes to Ferney Voltare where public transport is available to Geneva as well as a lovely small French town and extensive market on Sunday. There is a supermarket and usual town amenities there too. It's okay for a night or so, I wouldn't recommend an extended stay due to the location.

This hotel literally defrauded my money. I stayed two nights, in the second night the heating didn't work on all the rooms. We had like 4ºC outside and I was freezeing to death. After speaking with the manager in charge, they told me they would give me my money back for that second night but I had to speak with the service where I contracted the room and that there shouldn't be any problem.

Now that I left, Romain (the name of the manager in charge), denies there was anything wrong and they are not giving my money back.

Besides, the rooms are dirty, breakfast is insufficient and expensive. Nevertheless that was my second (and last) time there.

If you have a car to move around, the place is even better than downtown Geneva. Modern and very clean, perhaps you will miss common spaces, but for 90 euros you only get to sleep in Ferney-Voltaire. Superb french croissants for breakfast. The village has a huge Carrefour supermarket too.

We spent one night here thinking it was our best choice for an early morning flight from Geneva. Our room was small and gross. Dirty, bugs, smelly. And it is a 30 Euro taxi ride each way to get here. What we know now is that there is a 6-minute train from the central train station to the airport. Had we know that, we could have stayed near the train station for the same amount (hotel price plus 30 Euro taxi ride times 2) and stayed in a much better place.

You can get the bus to the centre of Ferney-Voltaire to/from the airport. It's about 10 minutes walk from the hotel, so not a great option if you have lots of luggage. We took a taxi in the end but it's quite a lot more expensive.

You take the cab from the airport to the hotel. Your question regarding the travel to Lyon should better be answered by the people at the hotel.
