Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I don't understand why this hotel is only classed as 2 star. We had a large room with a large en-suite, both spotlessly clean and fresh. Water, tea and coffee and toiletries provided. Breakfast is very reasonably priced with lots of choice of fresh food, served in a lovely airy dining room. Parking is free and the hotel is in a nice village location with shops and restaurants close by. Staff here are helpful and friendly, at check in the lady gave us helpful recommendations of where to visit and eat This hotel really is a little gem, I can't recommend it highly enough

Nice hotel, lovely staff, big modern refurbed family room with older avocado coloured bathroom🤣! It was all very clean though. Comfortable beds. Good location for this quiet town, had a McDonald’s, Lidl’s, Carrefour, had a lake with kids play area. No kids play area within walking distance, so not too much for little ones to do without getting in the car.

Very friendly and welcoming, comfortable, clean place to stay. Lovely building (old abbey). Decent sized rooms. Most enjoyable breakfast. Nice, quiet courtyard for parking. General peaceful atmosphere. Really enjoyed our stay. If we come to this region again, we would certainly come back here.

This hotel is a great location in the centre of the old town, it offers some parking lots which might be of value in this area where available parking space might be rare. The room was spacious and clean, everything you'd need was available. The price was rather high compared to the value but this could be because of the summer season. Breakfast is available but costs extra.

comfortable room and beds in central location within town. Good car parking provided. Rating marked down slightly because the shower rail was broken which meant the shower was ok but not correct. Breakfast was good in the morning and service throughout was pleasant The provencal style restaurant recommended, which was next door, was shut on wednesdays, the night we stayed, which was unfortunate. Other recommendations though were open and the one we chose a pizza restaurant which was fine.

Our car broke down and we ended up staying here. It was the only good thing that happened. First things first. Our room was large. The beds were comfortable. It had a flat Tv, with lots of channels. There was AC we could control, and a large fridge. The fridge by the way, wasn't in our room on arrival. We'd asked if we could put some things in their fridge and five minutes later the Landlady bought up our own fridge. On her own! The bathroom was an older model, with shower/bath unit, but everything was really clean. We even bathed our kids in the bath, which is a first for us at a hotel.(as we're a bit fussy) The breakfast was great too. Every table received a large basket of breads and croissants. The coffee was good, and my wife liked her musli and yougurt. But here's the important part! I'd hurt my foot a few days before, swimming with the kids. And it had become infected. It had swollen up, was weeping and was very painful. The landlady saw this and called the Doctor for me (sadly I can't speak French), who then came to the hotel. I had to go to a hospital, which was about thirty kilometers away. She even offered to pick me up, when I was finished. The hospital proscribed me some antibiotics, which she then drove my wife to get at the chemist. She even bandaged my foot! The Landlord helped get me my money back from the Ambulance company who kept hanging up on me. One call from him and I had my money in my hand ten minutes later, no joke. Even their receptionist helped me out with a phone charger when my one broke. She gave me one for free. Like I said we'd broken down after a three week holiday and we had loads of luggage, which we had to take out of the car, and they let us store it in their living room!! And they were great with the kids too, even letting them chose a treat from their vending machine. And there were a thousand other things that will most likely come to mind after I've posted this. I've lived in a few countries and I've visited a few more. I have never received so much hospitality and friendliness as I did over those three days at the Hotel. All I can do is say thank you and write this review, for the whole team at Hôtel Du Centre and a especially for our good samaritan the Landlady. I hope someone takes the time and trouble to read this review, and then stays there. I truly recommend it. We weren't planing at staying at Hôtel Du Centre but I'm glad that we did.

Stayed overnight as part of a small group of mature men cyclists. Owners could not have been more helpful including drying out our washed kit very quickly. Rooms were modest, comfortable and clean and provided a good nights sleep. Breakfast was a real treat and, by a distance, the best we experienced on our trip. Would stay here again and happily recommend it to friends.

The Hotel du Centre was found for us by the garage to which our broken down Citroen had been taken off the A7 (on a Sunday!) and also by our breakdown service. For a two-star hotel we found it very clean and comfortable, with an excellent bed and a good shower. The buffet breakfast was superb - with very fresh croissants and baguette. We got the impression that the hotel does very well out of breakdowns - there were at least two other families - and from proximity to the Ferme aux Crocodiles. Staff were friendly and helpful. As two-star hotels go, this one was very good, in our opinion.

This is a fantastic little family run hotel. We were at the beginning of a cycle holiday and the bikes had been delivered by the hire company earlier in the day and stored in the garage with the family's own bikes. When we arrived, the owners showed us the bikes, reserved a table for dinner at a nearby restaurant while we freshened up amnd then walked us over to the restaurant as directions were a little complicated. The hotel is good value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

A budget hotel in a not very attractive backwater of a town that seems to have seen better days. Pleasant staff and basically clean room with comfortable bed, hot water and a bit of aircon. Décor very cheap 1970s with nappy browns and a lot of plastic. Nothing else in the hotel so only good as a bed for which I think a bit over priced.
