Detailed Reviews
Chris ,Karen and the team in Samoens couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating to my family. We stayed Sun to Fri and were kindly catered for in spite of us arriving at 10.30pm on Sunday and leaving at 7.10am on the Friday which we all really appreciated. Samoens is a charming place and easily accessed on foot ,in fact you could walk to the main GME lift easily so long as you're not in ski boots and carrying skis !! Chalet Grande Ourse is well thought out and perfect for either a large group or sharing with another family (which was our experience ).Each family had their own floor separated by the communal areas and therefore our sleep was totally undisturbed. The residential area around the Chalet is very peaceful with lovely views over the town and surrounding mountains. Chris and Karen organised our ski transfer from Geneva with Go Massif which was only around an hours drive away and one less thing for us to sort out. Infact we ordered our passes online and Karen collected them for us too...All in all it's the perfect place for a short ski break from the UK.
It goes without saying that any catered ski chalet is only as good as the chef and staff involved and Geeski were truly excellent.
We would definitely unreservedly encourage anyone to give Geeski a try.
Thank you !!

Just back from a week skiing at chalet grande Ourse in Samoens. Everything was beautifully organised from pick up at Geneva to return.
The chalet is spacious and the rooms larger than many we've stayed in.
The lift is 5 mins in the chalet minibus or an easy 15 mins walk if you leave your boots and skis in lockers at the hire shop. We tended to get a lift down and wander back through town in afternoon.
Adam and Chris were great hosts and the food was probably the best we've had at a chalet. I particularly appreciated the approach to vegetarian options which was to make clever modifications to the menu, rather than wholesale changes.
We tried our best but in the end we failed the 'cheese challenge' and may have to go in to training before returning for another attempt next year.
Seriously though great chalet and lovely people.

We enjoyed a week in Summer in the Grand Ourse chalet run by Geeski on a catered basis .
The chalet is in an excellent location, a short walk into the little beautiful town of Samoens that has lots to do and see.
The catered option includes a great mostly buffet breakfast with local meat, bread, cheese and pastries as well as a cooked option. Ample packed lunch is supplied. Lovely cakes and more bread and jam at afternoon tea. Dinner is 4 course and was varied and tasty across the week including a BBQ.
Meals include drinks.
There is a self service honesty bar , which has reasonably prices , is well stocked with alcohol and also soft drinks. Meal times were flexible depending on activities. Dietary needs were well catered for.
Entertainment on site includes a pool table, hot tub , WiFi which is good enough to satisfy a teenager as well as a TV and games console.
Karen and Chris are not only excellent cooks/chefs, they will also advise you on activities and walks, as well as booking for you if you are not confident in French . They have tried most of these activities themselves and therefore are knowledgeable. They advised some walks that were beautiful , and appropriate given our group skill set and were able to drop us off at the start or finish .
This is a very well run chalet. What made the holiday was the invisible extras. The enthusaism of Karen and Chris is quite charming . They really love Samoens and they want you to enjoy your holiday here. They were kind and loaned us bits of kit that we had forgotten and picked up bits for us from the supermarket. The holiday was massively relaxing as the role of mom was taken away by the team who booked everything, fed everyone , chauffeured us around to a degree and ensured a nut free environment.
I have gone on a little. We did water rafting, canyoning and paragliding. All wonderful. The high ropes at the village along the river were very good and 2 hours of teen entertainment without a phone .
This was one of the best family holidays we have had. We will be booking for next summer ☀️

We stayed at the Petite Ourse for a week at the beginning of February. We were four friends who wanted to be pampered by the chalet experience but preferred not to share a large chalet, so Petite Ourse was perfect.
Whilst it’s attached to the Grand Chalet it’s like having your own completely.
We were fantastically looked after by Karen, Amy, Adam and Chris. Nothing was too much trouble for them all.
Karen and Amy were amazing with their cooking and served us lovely food morning and evening (with great cakes in the afternoon). I am a lover of cheese but I failed to be able to eat the cheese course as I was so well fed by the canapés and three course dinners.
They organised our ski hire from a local shop and waited with us while we were fitted to ensure we we happy (Xtreme Glisses were excellent). The team also picked up our passes which were on the table when we arrived.
The chalet was very clean and well provided internally with Wi-fi and TV for our down time and of course a hot tub.
All in all a great place to stay. Thanks Team Geeski.

We stayed in Samoens with Geeski last winter and had such a fantastic experience, we decided to try Chris’s new ski chalet in Saint Gervais this year. We were not disappointed! The chalet is beautiful, with stunning mountain views all round. It’s the same catered set up as in Samoens, but this year we were looked after by Louise and Mike. Their cooking was superb. The banana loaf with Nutella will stay in my memory for a very long time. There were 11 of us and they constantly went the extra mile to accommodate our requests and make sure that we had a great holiday. It was my husband’s birthday whilst we were there and they went above and beyond to make it a very special day for him. Mike gave us a lift up and down to the gondola each day and on their evening off, Chris came across from Samoens and took us to and from the restaurant in town. He even drove us to Chamonix for the day when it was snowing too heavily to ski. Saint Gervais is a pretty town and a couple of us enjoyed the market on Thursday morning. The trip up the mountain from Saint Gervais station on the Tramway du Mont Blanc was stunning. There is skiing in Saint Gervais for every ability. Plenty of blacks and reds, but also great blues and for the less adventurous of us there’s my personal favourite, the beautiful 3 kilometre long green run Chateluy, accessed straight from the top of the gondola. However, for a complete beginner the only nursery slope by the Bettex gondola is pretty challenging and access to the two other lovely gentle nursery slopes is restricted to ESF classes.

Just had a great few days at the White Diamond chalet in St Gervais. The chalet has very comfortable rooms plus a steam room and hot tub for relaxing after skiing. The staff, Mike and Louise, were attentive and produced some lovely food. Can’t find any faults so try it out for yourselves.

We are a family of four who stayed at Grande Ourse for a week in August 20. The chalet was well furnished and had everything that you need for a comfortable stay, including a hot tub and a pool table.
Two things really made the holiday - the food and the hospitality. We had a catered week - the food provided was absolutely delicious and we would rate it as being of restaurant standard (in fact better than most restaurants!). The service provided by the Geeski team was totally outstanding - recommending activities and organising them for us, taking us around the area and in particular spending a lot of their own time helping us to find a garage to arrange a repair to our car.
At all times, both in the chalet and in Samoëns, we felt that sensible Covid precautions were being taken and we felt very safe and were able to enjoy our holiday.
Thank you for a fantastic holiday!

We had the most fantastic time staying at Chalet Marie Stuart during March this year! I cannot recommend enough, we will definitely be coming back. We were a group of 9 people and enjoy a relaxing week of three course meals, comfortable beds and stunning views!
The villa itself was impeccable - a gorgeous French chalet with a well equipped en-suite for each bedroom, beautiful views looking out onto the mountains, a sauna, and hot tub overlooking the garden.
The chalet is located in the middle of 2 ski lifts, and a 10 minute walk to the centre of town - surrounded by classic French architecture, bistros and bars.
Geeski took great care of us, providing food to an extremely high standard, and catering for multiple allergies and requirements. We were offered a lift to the gondolas every day, and were picked up from apres. The team were extremely warm and welcoming, and made our stay very easy and comfortable.
If you’re considering Samoens as a destination, I would not look any further than this scenic chalet, you will not be disappointed!

We returned to Petite Ourse in February and once again were absolutely thrilled by the service provided by Chris, Karen and the team. This two bedroom fully catered chalet is an absolute gem in a superb position close to the beautiful village of Samoens. The team ensure that guests enjoy the best experience, looking after your every requirement - from transfers, ski hire, daily lifts to and from a choice of lifts - every detail is taken care of. If that’s not enough, the food is first class and plentiful. Overall, thoroughly recommended and can’t wait to return in 2023!

We had the best ever 14 person family holiday hosted by Chris, Sophie and the team at Chalet Ourse and Petit Ourse. The bedrooms were all en-suite or with adjoining bathrooms and the communal areas were warm and inviting. The food, all week, from breakfast, afternoon tea and 4 course dinner, was first class and the children in our party loved it all too! Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts including running us all (in 2 new minibuses) to and from the slopes, ski shop and bars; though the shops and bars were within easy walking distance!
Overall, we had a fabulous week with Geeski!
Thank you to them.
