An excellent meal. Authentic, hearty and very tasty Alpine food presented well and a great experience. Generous portions, and a generous host too. Above all, excellent value for such good quality food. Set menu today (3 courses) was a mozzarella and tomato salad, lemon chicken with lentils and courgettes, and a terrific tarte tatin. All for 22 euros which is... More

I have stayed at L'Aero a number of times with friends and more recently with my family. The owner, Philippe, and his team really looked after us on each occasion. The Chalet enjoys a great location with stunning views, and ski in / ski out access (perhaps not ski out for beginners?). The accommodation is cosy and the rooms tidy... More

We have just booked our fourth visit to Chalet l'Aero. The location is stunning with fabulous views & is genuinely 'ski in ski out'. The rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent. The lunch menu is outstanding & the place is usually packed out. Philippe is a warm and generous host - always happy to chat over a beer!

A Family of 4, we have just returned from a week-long New Year ski trip at L'Aero. What a magical place... We had such a great time there and were so well looked after that I can see us returning for many years to come. Philipe, the owner and the rest of the staff could have been more helpful and... I was part of a large group skiing for a long weekend. We had the whole chalet, and other than to ski didn't leave. Food was brilliant, the hospitality beyond expectation (for instance, the Brits in the group watching France v England on the big screen with the locals; the Americans watching the Superbowl at 12.30am on the big screen).... Stayed for 4/5 days in summer. Brilliant location for DH MTB with a brilliant local guide who was an amazing rider. Loads of chair lifts for your bike to get to some high altitudes easily. Accommodation and host great, welcoming and homely. Food was excellent - my first Tartiflette - all home made as you would want and accompanied by... More

There are apartments as well as rooms to rent, also a bar and restaurant. So you can decide to self cater or have a meal in the restaurant. It... More

For 6 years we return to this stunning location and fantastic place. With room for 42 persons we travel enmasse with other friends and family. Biggest party so far was 24 persons but that will be surpassed soon. Staff mainly French with perfect spoken English. Food, sublime 10/10. Plus they cater for gluten free diets and fussy English kids who... More

Stayed here for a weeks ski-ing with 2 other families and had a great time. It's very relaxed and has a really welcoming atmosphere. The owners could not be more helpful.
