As the name of the hotel indicate, "Snow and Rock," this is primarily a ski place. Most visitors here come for the winter, and there are many ski opportunities nearby. But summer is a lovely quiet time for long walks, hikes along the river, day climbs in the mountains. The hotels rooms feature hand-carved headboards that look like they were... More

Simply put this is a BEAUTIFUL hotel. Every part is decorated with such care and attention to detail, it all feels so very special. We stayed two nights with two adults and three kids and got connecting rooms with balconies which gave plenty of space and storage space. The rooms are decorated beautifully chalet style and the bathroom in the... More

My wife and I very recently had four most enjoyable nights at Hotel Neige et Roc at Samoens. This 3 star hotel richly deserves its high approval rating on Trip Advisor. Indeed, we feel,it is significantly better than many 4 star hotels we have stayed at. Most importantly, the owners, Francoise and Olivier, have been running the hotel for well... More

We are a family of 4 with 2 children (8 and 9) and this hotel could not have been any more perfect. The pools, tennis court and grounds were great for playing and spending time when we weren't on a hike or excursion. We had comfortable adjoining rooms with a small kitchenette which allowed us to have a simple breakfast... More

We had a fantastic week staying in the hotel. The facilities were good - the outdoor pool is a good size for a hotel and the indoor great if the weather is not so good. The bar etc is well done and the tennis court is well maintained. The food is great - a varied menu and nothing either particularly... More

This hotel, which has a somewhat modern exterior has a very traditional feel inside - lots of hand carved wood details around doors and windows, antique appointments in the lobby, and much tasteful detailing. Many of the rooms have beautiful views, and most have balconies. There is a spa, and indoor pool, and outdoor pool, and tennis courts (they will... More

Very good hotel in a good location. Even when the wetter is bad you can lots of things in the hotel. Indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and play room. Best room I ever had as a single person on vacation. Food is good, service at the reception excelent. If you can go for 7 days, then you get 6+1 rate.

We spent one week here in a superior room with balcony facing the mountains. The room was a very generous size by French standards, and had an excellent bathroom (with bath) and separate toilet. It also had a multi-channel TV, free wi-fi and a fridge. What it didn't have was air-conditioning - which was a a bit of a problem... More

A good location, nice bedrooms all with balconies looking across at the mountains, a great indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi and water slide, an outdoor play area (we have a 3 year old!), plenty of space, pool table and lots of seating, a buzzy bar area, great big breakfasts, a good restaurant, plenty of parking and walking distance to the...
