My husband and I have just enjoyed a perfect ski holiday. Service from Ski Bonjour brilliant from start to finish. Chalet Colettine is gorgeous - great facilities, powerful showers; comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean. And the chalet staff top it all off. Ally met us at Geneva airport and has brilliant local knowledge, giving great resort (and skiing!) tips throughout. Hugh prepared heavenly meals and happily accommodated special requests. Chalet manager Stephanie was super-helpful and friendly; she clearly takes pride in keeping the chalet running perfectly.
Tignes les Brévières is a beautiful village - much less hectic than Le Lac, and has a great little supermarket, lovely restaurants and a couple of really fun bars. The gentle run back down to the chalet (virtually to the front door) is the perfect end to a long day's skiing.
We simply couldn't have enjoyed our week more; will definitely recommend to friends.

Recently returned from a stay at Chalet Colettine. Have been on a number of chalet holidays over the years, and in terms of food, chalet hosts and location, the Colettine is right up there. Hugh produced excellent meals, ably assisted by the wonderful Steph, and Ally was a great host who certainly knew his way round the slopes. Brevieres is a lovely little village full of character, and Vincent's bar is well worth a visit. Would definitely return.

Located towards the end of Le Brevieres, the most traditional of villages, Chalet Colletine may look like a barn from the outside but as soon as you set foot inside, it is the most charming, traditional wood clad property you could ever imagine. A bit too romantic a setting for me and my mate, but we soon got over that! Our chalet hosts proved friendly, efficient and knowledgable. While Mike focuses on the prep of great and varied food (no special request too much trouble), Linda proves to a mind of information re the slopes and the resort... always smiling and again, nothing too much trouble! Cooked breakfast is 'compact' but plenty of cereal to support it. Tignes Spirit delivered/collected our equipment promptly and efficiently. The slopes are literally 30 yards away, yet the location is quiet. There are slopes galore at the top of the bubble lift, where you can plot your route to Le Lac, Les Claret or Val d'isere. The chalet is a minute's stroll away from a handful of traditional french restaurants and bars. What more could you want? Well, the red run into Le Brevieres can get icy towards the end of the afternoon, but if that worries you, take the everso gentle blue. I would certainly return here at the drop of a ski. Hats off to Ski Bonjour and the Chalet Colletine staff.

Well I'm a couple of days back from Bonjour Colettine. (25th Jan - 1st Feb)

Its was my 6th time/year with Ski Bonjour and once again its been a good one!

Hugh the chef cooked well - no complaints - a nice guy.

I brought a couple of friends with me who hadn't been before and it's safe to say they'll be back too - we're all feeling the Tignes blues now we're home.

Steph did everything she could for us and made all feel welcome. She was definitely the best at her role that I've witnessed over the last 6 years, balancing professionalism and the element of fun perfectly - will be nice to see you again next year.

Its close to the slopes and far enough from the bars to be quiet but importantly close enough to stumble back - ideal.

Places worth visiting locally in Les Brevieres:

La Bouida
L'Armailly
Le Moose
Vincents bar.

For anyone sat on the fence about where to stay - get this booked up.

You'd be genuinely crazy not to.

Excellent chalet superb location, oozes with character. Chef Mike produces top notch food and nothing is too much trouble for Linda the Chalet manager. Best chalet we have ever stayed in. The whole Bonjour team really make you feel that your holiday is their priority. The whole Ski Bonjour set up is excellent from helpful & informative booking though to the in resort services. The staff are are a credit to themselves as well as to Ski Bonjour and are always pleased to see you even in their 'downtime' Reluctant to write such a great report as everyone will want to stay and there will no room for us, but hey you guys deserve it! we had a ball! Many many thanks

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week this Easter and I cannot recommend it highly enough! The chalet was beautiful and the staff could not have been more helpful. The food was excellent - exactly what we needed after a long day on the slopes. The rooms were very cosy and everything about the chalet was geared toward making the holiday as comfortable and convenient as possible. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we were very well looked after. The location was excellent as we were literally two minutes walk from the skilift. Will definitely be returning next year!

Just got back from a weeks skiing in march which I organised for 11 of us. Overall a great holiday and a great location with a very good chalet.

Positives:

Great location; pretty village, very very near to slopes/lift and near to great bars and ski hire shop

the alpine atmosphere of the chalet and it's individuality and quirky features

starters and main courses provided by senni - he is a great chef. some of the best dinners i've had in 30 years of skiing holidays

attitude and helpfullness of chalet staff who were excellent

evening entertainment - quiz and talk from explorer/mountineer Squash Falconer v good

ipod connection to stereo

negatives:
not enough seating in lounge area to accomodate us all

stairs/ ladder up to mezzanine is very scary and one step is loose!

not enough hot water for 11 of us; chalet host says it is because there is only a domestic tank

the cakes were of a poor quality; senni's talents obviously lie in his main courses which were fab.

very poor customer care by owner when we had an issue; it seems all is good until you have an issue (we only had one all week but this it seems was too much for steve to deal with - see transfers below)

transfers; cheap but you get what you pay for - a wait on the outward leg then a very early return journey which goes 45 mins out of the way to collect guests in val d'isere some 17km up the road in the wrong direction before returning back within 1.7km of the chalet where you started at 5:30am! the staff told me this had caused complaint from guests all season and urged me to complain formally which fell on deaf ears sadly.

despite the negatives we all had a great time; tignes has a vast and fantastic ski area and this is a great base from which to explore it. Far prettier than the purpose built areas of tignes.

Stayed in colletine over new years this year and was hugely impressed. Having been on quite a few Chalet holidays over the last 10 years I would say easily the best food have ever expirienced in a chalet. Well balanced , tasty and immaculately presented. Easily restauarnt standard food and far superior to the any of the actual restaurants in brev or the vast majoirty of tignes for that matter.

The Chalet itself is ideally located close to the slopes, bars and restaurants in the village. Has a very quaint rustic vibe to and very well looked after. Senny and Charlotte who looked after us did an acceptional job all week. Aside from doing what they had to do went beyond that in ensuring everyone was enjoying themselves and socilaised with us after dinner which i always feel is a nice touch.

I cannot reccomend this place enough and would like to say a huge thank you to Senny and Charlotte and wish them all the best for the rest of the season.

What a superb experieince. Friendly and very helpful staff. We had no issues whatsoever as a group of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids 3-11 years old). The chalet was less than a 100 metres from the telecabin and so meant easy to come back for lunch / pick kids up from ski school.

Only thing I would say is that if your kids are below skiing age (i.e. below 4 years old) then there is no day care / creche at Le Brev. You'd be better in Le Lac for that.
For our 3 year old however we had private lessons and as one of us didnt ski it didnt cause any issues

Rooms great, fantastic atmosphere for christmas (including full traditional with Turkey) and even a propoer breakfast.

Only plus point, food was so good (I'm talking good standard restaraunt level) that we came back putting on weight despite a day of skiing every day.

Just back from a wonderful week at the Colettine with our 2 kids (aged 12 and 8) and our friends with kids the same ages.

First some background - Les Brevieres is an old, villagey, small, pretty part of Tignes, very sweet and charming (in significant contrast to Le Lac and Val Claret up the road). The chalet is an old barn (apparently the animals used to live downstairs and the humans upstairs), renovated in I think 2005, in a typical alpine chalet style with exposed beams and stone walls, and low doorways so you need to remember to duck. The photos on the website don't do it justice and in reality it's much nicer than I was expecting. Very close to the main bubble up the mountain and the ski school meeting points, and also to some great restaurants and bars (though we heard absolutely no noise from them at all to my surprise).

As already mentioned in previous reviews, what makes the chalet really special are the wonderful hosts, Dani girl and Danny boy, who are warm and generous and lovely, and who work really hard unobtrusively to give the guests a great time. Danny boy is also a fantastic chef - every day we had a cooked breakfast, cookies /cake in the afternoon and gourmet 3-course dinners. The children had separate children's dinner at 6pm, perfectly pitched at them (spag bol / fish and chips / make your own pizza, ice cream and brownies, banana splits etc).

Remarkably, the fact that there was very little snow (and what little there was was melting fast), and that we chose to drive 20 mins to Val Claret every day for access to more and better snow, did nothing at all to diminish our enjoyment of the chalet, and we would very happily return. If I was forced to come up with some niggles, I would request more shelf storage - our bedroom had hanging space but no shelves, so we lived out of suitcases for the week, and more / better lighting in the main seating area (it was usually too dark to read comfortably). Being totally honest, I would also have to say that the Ski Bonjour admin was a little woolly around the edges (but perfectly well meaning), and, being very very picky, it doesn't give a good impression that most of the paperwork refers to Chalet Colletine instead of Colettine. But that is negligible stuff in context and it speaks for itself if that's my biggest niggle!

Danny and Dani, thanks for an amazing week, you guys are fabulous, keep in touch!
