Great value & location

Communication with the staff was easy via email even when we had to change our numbers.

Staff were friendly & the sauna facilities were brilliant.

Would definitely recommend & return in future

A fabulous apartment, very spacious and excellent location for the ski slopes. Added benefit is the use of two saunas in the apartment and close proximity to a spar and a 5-10min walk to bars and restaurants. We would definitely look to stay again

We have just returned from a week in Tignes staying at Les Almes 1. The apartments are clean and comfortable, staff welcoming, not on site every day but available on the phone if needed. Equipment hire and ski passes were arranged for us at Intersport just down the road. The apartment had everything we needed - although a basic larder would have been good. Laundry, boot room, parking, hamman/sauna, TV, hairdryers in the bathrooms.

There is a little Spar shop a few meters down the road which has everything you might need. We preordered a basic shop before we arrived and it was all delivered and unpacked on our arrival. My only comment would be that it would be nice to have a basic larder - salt, pepper, oil, coffee filters etc in the cupboards.

We are not great skiers and not familiar with the area, but Pauline pointed us in the right direction for ski school for one daughter (Evolution 2) and private lessons for the rest of us (Snocool). Tignes is a lovely, quiet village, no fancy shopping or overpriced restaurants. Everyone is extrememly friendly and helpful and English spoken by most with a smattering of very limited French from us.

Skiiing here is great for intermediate/advanced skiiers - lots of long blue/red/black runs. Its not great for anxious beginners - there are few green runs and mostly around Val d'Sere. I can recommend the spa at Le Campanule hotel - lovely outdoor pool heated to 31 and overlooking the mountains.

We flew into Geneva and arranged transfer with Geneva Shuttle who were very efficient.

We would love to return, and would happily stay at Les Almes again..

The apartment was heated to 17 degrees and was FREEZING. Thin duvet covers that didn’t take the chill off, although they did offer thin blankets when I complained about the lack of heat. We were constantly in a state of coldness. The towel rail to dry wet ski clothes, never came on. The lady in charge wasn’t keen to help when told of these problems. We had drunk residents constantly weeing on our balcony that the children liked to go out on. No cleaning products provided except for a sample sized bottle of fairy liquid and soap. No tea towel provided. Cleaning at the end of the stay was way too intense. We had to fully hoover and mop all of the floors (water only as no floor cleaning fluid provided) and to fully clean sink area in bathrooms. and clean every single surface down otherwise we wouldn’t get our deposit back. We basically did the cleaners job for free!! I’m not sure they even hire cleaners - I think they just rely on residents cleaning up for the next people to stay.

We were two familes (8 people) sharing a large 3 bed appartment (no 1) during the off-season to enjoy a week of skiing on the glacier. The appartment was very comfortable and well equipped with everything you could wish for. We were also offered to borrow raclette and fondue sets and it was great to enjoy some savoyard classics in your own appartment. Since it was off-season and no snow in the valley we could, unfortunately not, take advantage of the ski in ski out situation of the residence but during the winter the skiing really starts just outside the building.

Pauline in the reception was extremely friendly and helpful and offered to help with everything that ever came up during our stay. The ski passes waited for us in the reception when we arrived and we were also offered a discount on ski rental in the nearby Inter sport store.

Almes 1 will definitely be our first choice the next time we go back to Tignes! Top notch!

Good comfortable family apartment. We (family of 5) were given a slightly larger apt as another family decided to extend their stay there.

Good wifi. Complementary laundry.

We did not try the sauna n steam bath as the timing was restricted from 5pm till 8pm. We are more used to going to the onsen without such restrictions.

We stayed in apartment 9 last week and were blown away by the place, very new and clean and very high spec. Free sauna and steam room on the top floor, only shared by the 12-14 apartments so generally quiet. Ski right to the door and only a 5 minute walk to the Palafour lift in the morning. Key card secured ski lockers with boot heaters. A local company called Sherpa will deliver fresh bread/pastries every morning at 7am if you order the night before, which was great! Also free WiFi with an access point in each apartment so it actually functioned really well. Pauline who was running the building was also extremely friendly and helpful.

We'd literally go back to Tignes just so we could stay in this apartment as it is rare to find somewhere so nice!

Apartment 9 had a room off the kitchen with a double bed, then a room with two singles (can be pulled together to form a double) and a bunkbed. The sofas also had beds with proper mattresses that you could pull out.

Highly recommended and make sure to order some fresh pastries early in the week!
