This place is an awesome base for a skiing holiday in Tignes. Comfy beds, friendly vibes, amazing food and nothing is too much trouble. Loved this place and it’s not surprising so many people return every year. Will definitely be heading back.

I found Dragon Lodge by accident whilst looking for bike hire, really glad that I did as we had an excellent week there. We had the main lodge to ourselves (family of four) and, as luck would have it, no one else was staying either so we had the upstairs mini lodge to ourselves as well for secure bike storage. Communication with John via email was fine for booking and paying. Having Will just downstairs was great, he helped us in with our luggage when we eventually rocked up at about 8pm and showed us round the chalet and facilities. Great help advising which supermarket to use (or not..!) and pointed us in the direction of a good bike hire/guide location. Everything was clean, tidy and stocked up for a good breakfast. It was very relaxed and felt just like being at home, plenty of space to chill out, watch tv, play xbox etc. when you're not out and about. Everything worked, wi-fi was fine, not the be all and end all of a holiday but nice to have and we had no issues getting on. Good range of equipment, utensils, crockery in the kitchen, coffee machine, kettle etc. If i could level one criticism, it would be the beds, they're 'ok' but i'm a terrible sleeper in a different bed and and struggled to get comfortable the first 2-3 nights. After that i was probably too broken from riding to notice! We chose Tignes this year because of the range of activities on offer with the mytignesopen card and, best of all FREE lifts. Will had our cards ready for us and did his bit, that just required us to register them in our names online to enjoy all the free stuff on offer. We found Dragon Lodge a great place to stay, roughly a 10 min walk down to the centre, or few mins by bike, and you're at the lifts, shops, bars and restaurants. After a decent days riding, you've not got far back to the lodge with no major hills to climb. Look forward to going back again.
