We only spent one night here (having decided to extend our holiday at late notice) and really enjoyed our stay. I felt that it was good value for money.

The location, right on the slopes, 10 metres from the little magic carpet which takes you to the main lifts , could not be better. Our dupliex two bedroom family suite overlooked the lake and was spacious with plenty of cupboard space . It has a downstairs (small) bathroom with bath, a separate toilet, and an upstairs shower room.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating which we really appreciated. They allowed us to stay longer in the room as it was not booked for the following evening.

The spa facilities were good (jacuzzi, hamman and sauna).

The ONLY thing that could be improved - as others have said - was the breakfast. It would only take a tiny bit of extra effort to make their continental buffet spread much nicer. eg wider selection of cheeses and hams, option to boil an egg etc, wider range of breads etc

If we returned to Tignes Le Lac during the day we always lunched herre as it was the handiest without crossing the road and you could ski to its door.

For the same reason we emjyed our post and mid ski - post lesson meet up for drinks. Friendly staff always on the buzz and the loo is on ground level, so no skiting down tiled staircases in ski boots. The outside balcony allows you to see if the person you are meeting is there and by the same token you can see if they are coming from any of the directions. on some days there was a guitarist/singer playing.

Would recommend this for a rendez-vous.

The staff and facilities were amazing. We arrived earlier than expected but were able to store our bags and go skiing. When we returned the staff had taken all our bags to our room! They spoke good English and were always happy to help. The laundry service is not advertised but is really cheap compared to the public launderette.

We booked two rooms at the same price. The double bedroom was relatively small however the bed was comfortable with nice linen. The room had no table or desk which was annoying and the lighting was poor. The bathroom was adequate however there was no bath which after a day or skiing would have been welcomed. The room balcony had a lovely outlook over the slopes.
The twin bedded room (same price) was ridiculously small with hardly any room to move around the beds. The beds were hard although the linen was nice.
We found the reception staff very friendly and helpful however the restaurant and bar staff were rude and very unhelpful. The breakfast was the same everyday. The scrambled eggs stone cold and not enough plates. The pastries were nice. The coffee and hot drinks came from a machine and the coffee especially was very average.
The menu for dinner was a set menu with very little choice and frankly not appealing esp for families with teenagers.
The location of the hotel was ideal right on the edge of the piste with good ski storage however the poor food and small bedrooms and rude bar staff tainted our stay and we will not return.

How pleasantly surprised we were to turn up to this hotel having seen quite old pictures on reviews and the booking site. The whole hotel had had a revamp, the rooms were comfortable, warm, tidy and clean. The shower was an added bonus with great water pressure and very hot! We had a slope side view and balcony which was great, but we never sat on it as it snowed pretty much every day heavily! (lucky us!). I would say the bed was quite firm, which is ideal if you like that - but we would have been more comfortable on something a little softer or a topper.
The spa was brilliant and we've never seen anything like it at other French ski hotels, the jacuzzi seated at least 9 (although we hardly met anyone in there) but it meant you were never squeezed out! The hotel is right on the edge of the main slope with easy access to the gondola and all other ski areas. Ski in ski out straight to the lockers which had heated boot dryers.
The restaurant served a good buffet breakfast with hot scrambled eggs and bacon as well as all other continental items. We ate in the hotel restaurant five out of seven nights and on all but one night we received brilliant service with all three courses delivered and eaten within an hour. The menu gives you two options per course and they are beautifully presented. Unfortunately there was one night where service was very slow and we did feel like our server was trying to avoid us, However this doesn't take away from all the other brilliant nights that we had with quick service and delicious food.
We took advantage on two nights to eat at another hotel in the group and chose the Voulez Vu for their gorgeous pizza! I would definitely recommend giving this a try!
The hotel wifi was fast and we took a laptop for netflix as the TV only had the BBC world service in English (I had tried to get English subtitles but couldn't). Would definitely recommend this hotel to skiing couples!

Hotel has recently been renovated and is part of a group which has several other hotels in resort. This means if you fancy a change of restaurant, you can eat in any of their hotels if you book in advance at reception. We ate in Voulez Vous which was top class , but the hotel restaurant is also very good if a little repetitive. Our room was overlooking the Toviere lift and le lac and the view was incredible from the balcony. The room and bed was very comfortable and plenty of amenities as well as a stocked fridge. There is a small wellness suite which was never too busy with a big jacuzzi , sauna and steam . In our room type we also had lovely fluffy robes and slippers to wear. The breakfast is the best selection I’ve had and way better than the hotel’s 3 star rating, the selection was superb. The location is fabulous too ski in/ out and there is a lovely indoor/ outdoor cocktail bar le pompon which had live entertainment most nights and was popular with residents and non residents for après. Would highly recommend this hotel , feel like we lucked out as we booked before the renovation and thought our hotel had changed when we checked the website , the renovation is fantastic.

There is so much about this hotel that is superb. The location is wonderful, ski in / ski out with a perfectly adequate locker room. The hotel overlooks the main ski hub so you can see everything that is going on and has amazing views of the mountains and the lake. It is though also quiet - in a good way as it’s not directly by any bars etc.
Our room was really nicely decorated and furnished and had a balcony.
The staff are all extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful.
However, the one area that let the hotel down is the restaurant. The food was delicious (we were half board) and the staff were always really friendly but the service was very poor. We were asked to book a time for our meal each evening and were always asked when we did if we could move to a later time which we always obliged. Regardless, we would wait an age for every aspect of the meal; half an hour to even have our drinks order taken and up to an hour to receive a starter. This appeared to be standard to the majority of guests each night, so much so that we saw guests getting up and leaving, drinks that had been ordered never arriving and guests serving themselves by getting their own bread from the side. What we could never understand is why there was such a problem; there were enough staff so it must have been the management of the restaurant. This really isn’t a hard issue to resolve so I am really bemused as to why there was such poor organisation.
Apart from the service in the restaurant, everything else about the hotel is first class so perhaps my recommendation would be; stay here but don’t book half board and eat elsewhere in the evenings.
I would definitely go back and stay here again and go half board if I knew these issues had been resolved or would book just bed and breakfast.

Room Tip: Perhaps avoid dinner in the restaurant due only to the service.

Just back from a week staying at the Levanna. The hotel is fantastic, the staff all so friendly and helpful and the location couldn’t be better. We had a split level suite overlooking the lake and main resort area, which had a balcony and 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. Coffee machine and minibar/fridge in room, and a safe.
There is a spa which is included; sauna, steam room and hot tub. We usually had it to ourselves late afternoon time.
Ski lockers have plenty room and boot warmers, and it really is straight out onto the slopes.
I’ve no complaints about half board; you get a buffet breakfast which had a great selection (although the eggs took ages to boil 🤣, you need at least 10mins probably more) and dinner is a set menu with a choice for each course. All the food was delicious but would be too fancy for kids - eg Venison steak, oysters, bone marrow… but they will do more kid friendly meals - saw many kids with chips and chicken etc. The service was slowish on occasions but not anything that was a problem for us, we had relaxing evenings and took our time over the meal.
You can also “dine around” and eat at any of the hotel groups other restaurants - we did this a couple of times and had good meals there too.
I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel, located right next to the ski slopes.
Ski in-out and every room has a separate ski locker.
Slope faced room was spacious with good beds and a separate toilet.
For the diner you always have 2 sugestions or you can choose from the complete menu card, also the local specialities (raclette, ...). You always can eat something you like.
Remarkable is that really everyone of the staff is super friendly and nothing is too much to help you. Reception, room service and restaurant people, thank you all!

Dear B_Cannaerts, We are so glad that you have enjoyed your holidays in our hotel and even more to share that our hotel has been since fully renovated. The rooms as well as the restaurant have redesigned to offer our guests a warmer feeling, and a new bar lounge, LE POMPON, has been created for you to taste before or after the ski time an house-made hot chocolate or hot wine. Looking forward to seeing you again in Tignes, Sincerely, Camille - General Manager

Probably the best location in Tignes, great food, truly amazing staff that gave us one of the best ski holidays ever and I've skied all around the world.

For the price, this is the only hotel in Tignes to stay in. less than 50m to the bubble, amazing views all day and night and Luka and Loic who were truly exceptional and it would be our reason for returning, I hope any business that employs them realize just how lucky they are.

They will always be remembered in our hearts for their kindness, their professionalism, their consideration and they made our family holiday truly exceptional.

Hi please can you tell me how or who I can book this hotel with as a package??
Answer from Tony
Glasgow, United Kingdom3 contributions6 helpful votes
i don't think i can be booked through package companies. We have always made our own arrangements but it easy from the UK. Flights to Geneva are very cheap if you book in advance and all you need from there is a transfer to the resort, this can be shared bus or private, if there are a few of you the private transfer can be a good bet. Try this agency for the transfer, findtransfers had some V good prices over the last 2 years.

Train and then bus will be the cheapest options although if you are a party of 2 or more then renting a car becomes a very interesting choice
