We stayed here for only 1 night on our way to Menton. Very average hotel, in the middle of town, past its best which needs some TLC. However the evening meal in the hotel restaurant did not disappoint.. If we had not been at the end of a long hot day we probably would have looked for something else...

While Grand Hotel des Bains may have been a grand hotel in the early 1900s, it's somewhat run down these days. Still, the location and the price made it worth staying here for two coupes and a small child. The hotel is an old, charming building. Some of the rooms have been renovated with modern looking bathrooms, and some appear...

Hotel was old but grand. Dinner was very good (fois gras, scallops, wine, etc.). Breakfast was more contintental style (no cooked eggs, sausage, etc.), but the crepes were awesome. Service was fantastic. Rooms were tiny but cozy and clean. We played mini-golf across the road and there is a crazy acrobat park next to the hotel. I had a beautiful...

We viewed the room we were allocated and after looking at the rest of the hotel decided we were not decrepit enough to stay there. This old hotel is way past its "sell by date" and should be gracefully retired.

We originally booked into this hotel for two nights as part of a grand European driving tour, but we left after the first night and were thoroughly relieved to see the back of it. Oddly enough, we didn't experience any of the problems reported by other people - the room was clean, and the reception staff spoke good English -...

We checked out of this hotel within an hour of arriving because it was just horrendous. We paid the full amount for a night's stay and felt totally conned as it's nothing like the pictures on the web suggest. Absolutely dreadful, waste of time and money.

Need to speak fluent French, as staff do not speak very much English. Found the room we had rather small situated over the kitchens, at times when cleaning waste buckets aroma somewhat obnoxious. Our thoughts are "needs some T.L.C. good situation re local restraurants Found the local sight The Source very good. The surrounding areas are very beautiful. Found the...

We stayed for 7 days with SAGA Holidays and enjoyed our stay. Make sure you are prepared to speak French, as the staff either can't or won't speak English. The bedrooms vary in size considerably, apparently the corner rooms offer the largest size. The room we had appeared to have been recently refurbished with a really good shower. There is...
